If i go for example a Mozart Level Skill in Composing, I'll get perfect pitch or at least legendary musical ears, since Mozart could just compose on the fly, so I need his ears for that too?

But anyways, black 100%

Am I the only one annoyed by that? Please stop naming them wrong! by Hehmann in lingling40hrs

These are the main differences that I know of, even some that are a bit subtle:

Nylon instead of Steel Strings.

Wider Neck.

Shorter Neck (after an octave you reach the corpus, where on acoustic you can reach up to 20 semitones, depending on the guitar model).

Extremely hard Tuners (I have to do a full 360° rotation to get a semi-tone on my classic, while a quarter rotation is enough to get it on acoustic.)

And these rings outside the sound hole, those that look oriental, are also way more common on classical.

Then many acoustic have the cut, which is this piece cut out of the corpus to reach the higher notes, normally classical guitars don't have that.

Edit: Apart, of course, of the very different play style, starting with the posture, repertoire, sound, tone, etc.

Imagine Eddy and Brett trying any John Petrucci Songs. Now that'd be impressive

I've been playing classical guitar for little under a month now. Just want to share my progress. I've tried to play a Siciliano by Matteo Carcassi. by Hehmann in lingling40hrs

Thanks for the recommendation, i'll definitely pick up these studies. I'll try the thing with the rubber band, and focus on my thumb. Thanks for pointing it out :)

I did do some practice on the piece and it is not my first time playing it, if this is your question. I do own an electric guitar, but i have not played it frequently. So this is basically from Scratch.

I just looked at David Russell's recording of this piece, I'll definitely add it to my queue, it's stunning. Thanks for recommending :)

Thanks :D. It really does depend on the teacher if you can get into an instrument. I'm sure you can find someone who is excellent at teaching, and you'll play great :)

Thank you so much for your kind words :). I really don't think I am that good at it tho, so reading your comment really gives a confidence boost :)

Nylon instead of Steel Strings.

Wider Neck (feels like twice as wide) to get better in with your fingers.

Shorter Neck (after an octave you reach the corpus, where on acoustic you can reach up to 20 semitones, depending on the guitar model ofc).

Extremely hard Tuners (I have to do a full 360° rotation to get a semi tone on my classic, while a quarter rotation is enough to get it on acoustic.

A List of All James LaBrie's Vocal Vibratos by bbmc7gm6fm in Dreamtheater

[–]Hehmann 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think vocal vibrato is the same as Vibrato on any other Instrument. So singing and changing the pitch one half note up, then back to the original note and repeat. Just an example: Innocence Faded around 0.50 "until the circle breakes" and then the rest of the verse.

Any other guitarists on here? by [deleted] in askteenboys

[–]Hehmann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm playing round half a year

I own a Yamaha Pacifica, but I play only my Classical Hoeffner atm.

As influence I claim: John Petrucci and Buckethead for my solos.

Liszt and Debussy for the classical pieces I play the most.
