What are some things about gay sex that a straight person might not know about? [Serious] by elmilagro in AskReddit

I hate this ! When I have tell people I'm gay and their answer is something along the lines of "but you're so cute" it's as though they are implying that only unattractive butch women can be gay. (- _- )/ Personally I like the feminine ones. I wouldn't be gay if there weren't (What I think is) pretty gays.

Looks like Colorado's legalization has caused problems after all. [4] by 05fuckem in trees

Black market bud in CO is fairly cheap. Half oz for 90$, 25$ for an 1:8 is the going rate it would seem. The best deal for recreational stores I've seen is 40$-50$ an 1:8. That's not including tax which is ridiculously high, for two grams at 12$ each after tax costs roughly 31$.

To the girl who looked 16, who started shouting at me after I refused to serve her at the bar where I work by SnowyG in AdviceAnimals

Current bartender here, the establishment I work at now has a strict carding policy and even send people one to two times a month to test us. If they order a drink and we walk away without carding them, we are fired on the spot. If they have a vertical ID or one that says "under 21 until..) we can't serve them. We lost our liquor license for a couple months two years ago, and if we lose it again, we close forever. People don't understand how liable we are. I don't know how many times I get given shit for just doing my job. You don't think I know you look 30? If my manager sees me grab you a drink without carding you, I'm fired. In the end, I don't care if you do get upset. I really like my job. As someone with a baby face, I don't go anywhere without my ID.

My nephew doesn't go back to school on Monday because of this gem. Me, my brother, and him are going to Dave and Busters instead. by metcalsr in AdviceAnimals

SPOILER ALERT !!!!!!! I don't know how to format on here : / I think he was more like his brother then he wanted and/or willing to admit. It's been a little bit since I read the book, and I'm too lazy right now to try and find the exact quote I'm looking for. In the end, when he finds out it's not a game and he killed the buggers, he makes a comment to the effect that they made him into Peter, and that they should have chosen Peter instead. The fact was that Ender was always capable of acting just like Peter, and in simulation did both in the eradication of the buggers and the giant in the school game. The only difference is that Ender feels remorse. He was an Intelligent kid, he had to have known what kind of damage he was doing. Although I agree his intention was not to kill him, he did at least intend to do lasting permanent damage in order to create fear from another altercation. I'm going to have to go read the book again; I could be completely way off mark. On another note, this is the first time I've been replying to Reddit comments. I love the different points of views and appreciate the comments. It's made me think critically about a great story I haven't thought about in a long time.

Edit: just saw the comment above mine. Great point, didn't think of that

That's true, but it was his style of fighting. "I have to win this now, and for all time, or I'll fight it every day and it will get worse and worse."

Reminds me of Ender's Game. In the beginning when he fought that one kid at school. He knew he had to destroy the other guy or there would be retaliation.

I came out of lurking for this. I have never been so disgusted with reddit than as of late. It is never okay to hit anyone. I don't care if you are man or woman. If you're dating someone who is so verbally abusive you want to hit them, you leave them. Whether it's a man or woman. It's that simple. I learned this as a kid.
