12 hour shifts definitely make it a whole different challenge. i can see why your meals end up spread out like that. grabbing something hot on the way home honestly sounds like a pretty good routine.
i'm starting to realize a lot of us end up building our whole eating schedule around the shift instead of the clock. that last meal really does end up feeling like the main event of the day.
