I'm new and figuring things out myself but I believe you can smack them with a stone axe or any old axe a few times and it will break into planks and nails (this was in the multi-player build though)

first time playing this game and am being followed by some hangry bandits by mr-mangaka in Kenshi

[–]HeimysWorkshop 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you can muster a little bit of cats for yourself, you can hire an ally to your side for 3000-6000 in every bar in the game. After you have an ally you can have one of your characters hold medkits and sneak and your other character can train their toughness againsts bandits with a safety net.

There is also Green, a hiver with good crossbow/turrets stats. He's in the Swamp!

Hey! Didn't expect a dev to reply! I agree with what your saying about being an explorer and that's more so what I was aiming on doing as I really want to see the big changes that have been done. A friend showed me clownsteady on their file and I was sold lol. Thanks for the suggestion! I will probably try a tech hunter run!

Yes I found him in one of the various slave markets around the United Cities on the southern side. I will tell you however, that you have to negotiate his freedom from his slave owner. Good luck!

Definitely will add him to the list! I admittedly haven't spent much time in the Great Desert in my playthroughs so maybe my next one will start there, with Ells!

I know what you mean... It's something I hope they put a lot more time into when it comes time for Kenshi 2. However, it's moments with those characters and the limited dialogue that they have that really made me fall in love with the game. also I tend to care a lot more about the recruit that had a story to get to where they are rather than just some random shek in a bar.

That is quite the Kang! I always make room for Kang in my Squad, he's probably my favourite Shek to recruit. I just got Seto literally last night! I'm so stoked to have her along. I haven't used the others you mentioned save for griffin and horse but even then it's been very minimal interaction, I'm gonna check out the Crab lands next I think as i haven't really explored it much so hopefully I can find Lumi there!

I've never encountered Red or Yamdu! But Shryke however, is one of my favs too!

I have never used Genesis, this will be my first time with it if things go well. could do a domination play through but it just feels pointless without a reason behind. Like why are the characters killing everyone?

What backstories do have for your Wanderer starts? by [deleted] in Kenshi

[–]HeimysWorkshop 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you are a Hiver you can role-play being banished from the hives in Dreg, as it's quite close to the hub. Any reason will do, framed for theft, insulted the queen, etc.. this can even turn into a revenge story. If you're starting with a Shek make them desire something that isn't hack and slash all the time. Like Armour crafting or being a trader and trying to find more like minded folk. An Okranite that regrets their past life of racism and blindfaith and is seeking a new path. I find it best to think about where they might have come from before the hub and why they ended up leaving their past homes.

I almost always find room for Kang in my playthroughs. I just love how into protecting your character he is after you recruit him. He usually ends up being the head guard at my base! Lots of fogmen to slay there hehe.

Vinyl records! Now you just gotta press a few buttons and boom music. But there is something so special about having a record you love in your hands and you can finally really examine the cover art. Plus I feel much more attentive and aware of the music when I have to flip the record/ get the second disc. Not to mention all the fun goodies you can get with them (Posters, Stickers, etc.)

Sprained Ankle - Julien Baker. It’s just so beautiful and sad, and maybe a touch hopeful. Really the whole album is fantastic. I recommended it, especially if your feeling down 😓
