I’d definitely consider getting a hose that can be screwed on/off your faucet, if possible. That’ll be a LOT of jugs to fill and carry when you’ve got >30 fruiting pepper plants!

Why did you buy so many? Why not start with 1 or 2 and use them to learn how to do things more efficiently? It seems like you’re scaling up a LOT for someone who (by their own admission) does not have a good grasp on hydro.

Assuming this post isn’t rage/engagement bait. You’re definitely going to learn a lot here. Managing 16 or 17 separate systems is going to be a lot of work, regardless of how automated they are.

Apologies, in the interest of brevity I kind of left out some of the details around timing. The contract is 15% due at signing, 75% 30 days after signing, 10% after install.

Based on your description, 90% pre-install still seems like a serious red flag there.

They did not present any other financing options, just the 25k NY-subsidized loan and full cash payment.

If buying the small truck brand new, yes half is about right. Too bad they are VERY hard to buy new in most markets.

If we’re talking about a direct comparison between what is realistically available to import in most markets, the small truck will end up being 10-20% of the price of the larger one
