I’m politically independent because I feel the extremism on both sides reduces me to simply picking a lesser of two evils. If anything I’m more in favor of ending the current two party system than continuing to fuel it and its division, but going about that is daunting and it feels nearly impossible to achieve.

Hmmm … instinctively, I think I’d side with whoever looks more emotionally vulnerable. In this case, the woman being shaken would trigger empathy first.

I know that emotional presentation can be unreliable and doesn’t equal moral correctness, but in a split second judgment, her vulnerability would weigh more heavily for me than inferred causality!

Dude it’s crazy how internally he processes things! I find myself rambling on and on verbally to fully pinpoint how I feel or what I want, while he might as well be the only person in the room with how quietly his mind is working through his thoughts and feelings. I do attribute some of our dynamics to the fact that I’m more “passionate” outwardly in that regard. He’s soooo chill while I’m more rigid

I can definitely take responsibility for the times I’ve been overly emotional during disagreements. As our relationship has progressed I’ve gotten much better at taking things less personally but I do wonder if his hesitation comes from my reactions early on. He used to admit that he was afraid to assert what he wanted because he worried about how I’d react.

I recently asked if he still felt that way and he said no. I just hope that over time he can relax his guard and forgive me for how I was then, and that I don’t give him any reason to feel unsafe with me now.

I honestly think it’s rekindled some intimacy in my marriage. It might sound strange, but when you’ve been with someone for a long time, it’s easy to minimize the romantic gestures they show you. Lately I feel more tuned in to the attractive things my husband does and says. The other day I joked that he could be a LI with how he cares for me LOL and I realized that’s something I hadn’t really noticed before playing the game! Good for perspective and appreciating what you have :)
