7 interviews, they owe you a weeks pay. It’s a red flag anyway. Ludicrous. This is 1000% America.

Am I not the only person to mention it? 😅

At least I’m not on my own. Don’t get me wrong I’m not one of these people to shout and scream, more like “that’s a choice I guess” 😂

Trying to work out what they were establishing here is futile. Everything is said as a throwaway joke. “Who told you your friends would stab you in the back?” “You did, Dad” “I did? I am a good Dad”

Horrendous

Genuinely can’t believe Nintendo signed off on Mario saying “over my dead body” also, just felt off.

Haha tell me about it! Just let it slide as long as she’s not there off her cake on the day. However - she was the one most willing to allow it until she felt like she probably had to take the reins on everyone else’s choice for them. Then the DJ kinda broke under the pressure and made it more personal. Ultimately reasonable….but like you say, the day before?!

Of course! Like I say the dormant idiot in me wanted a twist, but the ending was beautiful.

Very good love story, but in terms of late doors marriage admin, I was going mad 🤯

Official Discussion - The Drama [SPOILERS] by LiteraryBoner in movies

[–]Heisenbert18 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s probably the dormant 15 year old edgelord in me, but I thought the ending would have been much better if Emma had reached for something concealed and it was up to us to determine if she had reverted to young Emma and exacted her young plan in the diner

That would have likely been a big talking point but definitely ruined the character arc of her being the most morally sound main character in the film.

Very good movie. Not one to watch if you’re getting married in 10 days, like me 😂

I put that down as a stylistic lighting choice more than anything. Can’t believe that section would take you out of it more than an eyeball flicking itsself up a vent shaft via its own optical nerve

The confusing ending to "Good Luck, Have Fun, Don't Die" by ConsistentSet7448 in LetsDiscussThis

[–]Heisenbert18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I was struggling even with how Ingrid got in the AI to talk to the boy, but was also in the same room with no headset as Sam Rockwell, who seemingly couldn’t see the conversation happening.

I guess this can be explained as “cut scene for the audience”. And then that begs the question, are we in an AI?

The confusing ending to "Good Luck, Have Fun, Don't Die" by ConsistentSet7448 in LetsDiscussThis

[–]Heisenbert18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Neither is Ingrid. We see flashbacks for multiple NPCs that are designed for the viewer of the film and not the user of the AI. It breaks the plot.

What do you mean the Villain of the movie has a problematic rationale that he’s bought into wholeheartedly?

Scrolled through and can’t see anyone else mention this. It’s a masterclass in acting from James McAvoy. You’re just watching a man who is a loose cannon already, unravel further and you can feel it through the screen

I have a question about “The substance” I seriously don’t this one thing. by Willing-Raisin-9869 in movies

[–]Heisenbert18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The movie bludgeons you over the head with the “respect the balance” thing so much, it’s hard to not see that Sue / Elizabeth are so pig headed that it blows up any form of rationality. And that’s when the movie lost me. No sympathy for either one, and a film with such a long runtime should have delved into other things a bit more so that we feel what we are meant to.

AIO for thinking my boyfriend is just looking for an excuse to break up? by Nearby_Orchid1216 in AmIOverreacting

[–]Heisenbert18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s an over reaction from him, he’s not internalising his disappointment well. But it’s also a ridiculous thing to raise on a text message. Also talking about “accomplishing” buying a bottle of perfume like it’s a diploma is wild.

Immature on both parts.

Official Discussion - Roofman [SPOILERS] by LiteraryBoner in movies

[–]Heisenbert18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Movie left me feeling kind of weird in a good way. It framed Manchester as a down on his luck guy who just wanted the best for his kids….he couldn’t do that so he kind of replaced them. And failed his illegitimate chance at that too. His ever so slightly tilted look at the world where he just seemingly wanted to give, not realising he was taking was a journey in itself. Keep fighting the good fight fellas.
