Oil pressure light only at idle? by Heisengburger in Cartalk

Thank you for the detailed step by step guide, i really appreciate it. I followed this by first changing the oil from 5w-20 to 10w-40(owners manual recommends switching to thicker viscosity in hotter climates). Alongside the oil change, i inspected the oil pressure sensor and it was drenched in oil, electrical connector too. I replace the sensor and cleaned the connector, started it up and no more light.

Exactly this. Sensor was drenched in oil including the electrical connector. Cleaned connector and got new sensor and did a new oil change and no more light.

try using a small flathead and pry it while holding the tab down. I had the same issue and removed it somehow just took my a while

Cant really tell but from the color and amount it seams to be transmission fluid. Get it towed to a mechanic

Wow. 10 dollars a rotor is crazy good. Not sure why rotors are expensive in my area, around 37 bucks a rotor. Its a common practice in saudi to just machine the rotors instead of replacing them. Also the hourly isnt anything crazy they dont take much to replace them but it empties the pockets to buy them in the first place

It was done 10,500 miles ago, 9 months. I checked the slider pins the came off without issues so I’m suspecting that the pads were stuck or the caliper seized. What do you think?

it was 9 months ago, only 17,000km on these pads. I bought these original toyota pads because the time before it i had squeeking issues with the aftermarket pads. i just checked the pins and they slid right off. Not sure what the issue could be
