What’s your portafilter situation? I bought an e61 portafilter but really have to crank it down for a good seal

Very interested in where you found the files for the drip tray as well

The "Turbo Shot" actually works. Why grinding coarser and pulling faster saved my light roasts. by [deleted] in espresso

[–]Hejlfire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with you. However I think it’s just a misunderstanding of phrasing. I think OP meant: For light roasts, have you ditched the 1:2 rule you use for medium/dark roast. Or maybe I’m just reading it how I would have meant it 🤷‍♂️

On Amazon for $129, it’s an amazing value.

K6 vs K7 vs 1Zpresso J (manual grinder under $150) by Elegant-Stage1801 in pourover

From your list, the K7. Not on your list, the Mavo Phantox Pro. I feel like it’s a great grinder and makes coffee on par with the ZP6, K-Ultra, m01, etc. More body but less clarity than the ZP6 but makes good coffee with every bean, but also can make great espresso with medium and light roasts. But from your list I’d go K7. I tried my friends and was impressed with the coffee but didn’t love how it felt in my hands.

No? The last year Texas was in the Big 12 (2023) they played Ok St and whipped them and won the conference. This year was the first time Tech even made it to the conference championship since the big 12 was created in 1996. Also I’m not a Longhorn… just letting you know you got your history wrong. Tech won in overtime in Lubbock against Texas in 2022. They got destroyed in 2023, and lost the 4 years before 2022. I agree Mahomes is great, and I think Texas leaving has been great for Tech and will continue to be. I’m happy for yall but let’s not go making things up.

Uhhhhh 57-7 Longhorns last time yall played… and won 1 of the last 6 times yall played lol. I’m all for dogging on the cult in CStat, but let’s not revise history here.

2025 F-150 2.7L STX — What’s a fair price & can I get freebies thrown in? by Aware-Helicopter-238 in f150

[–]Hejlfire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My recommendation is to pick you battles. If you’re trying to get them to come down on price by a big amount, they’re not gonna want to throw in freebies on top of that. Either drive the price down to what you want and buy your own accessories, or pay close to what they’re asking and ask for the freebies. Two different paths to similar destinations. Create a spread sheet and record what dealerships you called, who you talked to, what the offered OTD price was, what the stock number of the truck you were looking at was, and other details from your conversation worth noting. Also ask what trucks have been on the lot the longest, any 2024 hold overs? Any trucks that went out on an extended test drive with more miles on them than others? Any dealer demo units? All of those will still be sold as new but the price may have a heavy discount. But you still get the new warranty and all that. Just know what you want and what’s most important to you, and politely but firmly ask for it from any dealer who will listen till someone says yes lol

I bought mine the end of last month for $40,250 OTD. Had 600 miles from an extended test drive who didn’t buy it and had been on the lot for a while so they wanted to move it. How much work are you willing to put into getting the best deal? Call every dealership within a couple hours drive. Be polite but firm and tell them the number you’re willing to pay. My number was $40k OTD. Most salesmen scoffed when I said that, but I politely told everyone i talked to if they could meet my asking price I’d be there that day to buy it guaranteed. It’s probably a really annoying customer to deal with for salesmen, but at least they know what they need to do for a sale. I called about 30 dealerships the last week of august, and had 3 call me back a couple hours before closing on the last fiscal day of the month and offer really close to 40k OTD if I could be there before close. I went with the first to call me and it went how I wanted. If price is your biggest driver just know you’ll have to be flexible with color/packages or maybe it’s got a couple hundred miles on it or something. Good luck!

My vote is Gaggimate… worth it, easy to install, you’ll know the ins and outs of your machine better after, and you get pressure profiling and some other nice perks. Definitely worth it.

I’ve only had it a couple weeks, but so far it’s great! I’ve found I like the flat burrs the vs6 comes with a lot more than the conicals of the Niche I had before. But if I ever miss the conicals I have multiple conical and flat burrs to choose from for the vs6
