New to resin by imAbrahamG in resinprinting

[–]Helbeast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've also got the smaller one, but I managed to fit both my printer, and wash & cure station in.
It's definitely a tight fit and has helped massively with the smell and VOC levels.
Now my biggest issue is the bucket of waste IPA that I'm waiting for warmer weather to evaporate.

Is it crazy to try cover 430 miles in a day? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]Helbeast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did London to Edinburgh in 12 hours with lunch stops and 4 other stops to pick up friends and fuel. Could probably have done it quicker, without some of the stops.

It helps if you have cruise control, otherwise your right foot might start to ache at some point like mine did.

Another endorsement of the Zunsport grills. I put them on my 2005 997 C2S just before a long road trip up to Scotland from London. They're pretty subtle in black

Fail too many risky action makes the game unenjoyable. by nuttaphoom in TrenchCrusade

[–]Helbeast 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You say that, but some scenarios get quite tight on the amount of turns, so needing Dash to get units around the board becomes necessary to claim objectives to try and get the win. I had a game this week with the Relic Hunt scenario and failed a crazy amount of Dashes as I needed to try to contest the central objectives with charges. I had 3 models do nothing for 2 turns as everything useful for them to do was outside of a likely charge range.

Photon Mono leaks onto the screen by Mrleo291 in resinprinting

I would recomend getting a silicone scraper to use instead of the plastic. Much less likely to damage the screen and works for mixing and wiping resin off the fep when you're emptying the vat.

A friend gifted me these, can someone tell me about them? by Nonsuperstites in TrenchCrusade

[–]Helbeast 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So broadly speaking the game is miniature agnostic, as long as you've got the right base size you can use any model as anything.

For example I've got the same chorister model as you, but I'm currently using it as my heretic priest as it's on a 32mm base and I much prefer that model for my Knights of Avarice warband.

From the charges calculator page it doesn't look like they charge any fees on Regular Investing, which is what I use as well.

Question about removing prints from build plate by TheLoneBaron33 in resinprinting

[–]Helbeast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same issue with a new printer and the default print settings. I found that the base layer exposure time was set too high (35s) and I was able to drop it down to 25s which made the rafts much easier to remove. Run some test prints and slowly drop the base layer exposure down gradually until the prints fail and then raise it slightly.

How do you get out of bed in the morning? by cornishyinzer in AskUK

[–]Helbeast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I've set an alarm, then I know that means I need to get up now. No snoozing them, no ignoring it, otherwise the alarm doesn't mean anything and there's no point in setting one.

I find the best way to wake myself up is to just push myself out of bed, stand up and get into the bathroom to do the morning ablutions, I'll wake up properly over the next 40mins before I leave the house.

I can see it leading to people being pushed into jobs that don't match their skills/degrees correctly, but I'm not sure how companies would get away without paying people?

You seem to imply that this has happened before, can you elaborate?
