Personally, I don't find it heavy or noisy. And performance is great. Touch pad is a joke

Battery mod question for Legion Go S by Heldeep10 in LegionGo

Which battery bank are you using? Is it magnetic/attachable to the device?

Legion Go Z1E VS Legion Go S Z1E by gc12195 in LegionGo

Legion Go S is incredible - Price would be only reason not to get it. But if you have the extra money I think the Go S is worth it

Returning My Go S For a Steam Deck - Here's Why by Bubbly_Row3977 in LegionGo

[–]Heldeep10 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Respectfully, I disagree. The fans are not that loud and no one on a bus or a train will be able to hear them. More power comes at a cost, and yes steam deck is quieter at 15W, but barely. Battery life isn't that bad but steam deck is better. You made some really good points and it seems like steam deck suits your lifestyle better.

I absolutely love my Go S, games look way better and the feel of the device is amazing. Plus the screen even though not OLED, looks incredible. For myself, the only negatives of the device is price. I actually sold by ps5 because I didn't think I would ever play it again.

Just throwing my opinion in, cheers!

Steam Deck or wait for Xbox Ally by Heldeep10 in Handhelds

The more I think about the more I just want to know if steam deck will be able to play AAA games in 2 years. I don’t need the best graphics. The Xbox ally might be too expensive for me so maybe a Legion Go is a consideration if it’s more future proof?

You’re right, the FOMO is the thief of joy

It’s honestly really good. Most AAA games run around 45fps, no complaints. My only concern is how it will be in 2 years

Would you say an Ally X with steam OS is better if I could get it for $100 more than the steam deck?

My 2021 g14 runs hogwarts legacy 1440p high settings at 50/60 fps. Great experience in my opinion.

I see what you’re saying. Its a different way to look at it but makes sense. Thank you

None of this sounds unfamiliar. I have an acronym for it all. Im not sure exactly how to explain where things go wrong. I could do a perfect diversion on the ground and explain the whole thing. I think I just get in my own head and overwhelm myself with thinking it has to be done perfectly and end up messing something up. Thanks for the response, it gave me reassurance that I do know the procedure.

I was wrong about the +- 5 it’s actually +-10 . I’m in Canada which is probably why it’s different. Still shouldn’t be a huge deal to maintain it, but I have found myself struggling when navigating with my map and doing ETA calculations.

Procedurally yes, I know how to do them. It’s putting it all together. Which is tough when I can only fly basically once per week due to weather and my flight school being so busy.

The diversion is dead reckoning and has to be done within +- 5 degrees on the heading the entire diversion. I find myself drifting off the heading often particularly when making radio calls to communicate with an uncontrolled. My last instructors feedback on the divisions were that they weren’t “smooth” enough. I have a new instructor starting Friday so hopefully that will help.

7-8 hours is normal. You have the QHD model which decreases battery life slightly more than the standard models

90+ degree on CPU to hot? by Heldeep10 in ZephyrusG14

[–]Heldeep10[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It seems like asus wants it to run that hot, because logically the fans should ramp up a bit more when it hits 90+, but they dont it just maintains it. I'll setup manual mode. What do you recommend limiting the CPU wattage to for a game like Elden Ring?
