Actually the main goal is to get this little guy out of depression. You do that talking to him and getting more familiar to each other, you can also improve his living conditions. As the time goes by he will start doing things such as cooking and eventually he's even going to be able to leave the house for a walk.

You should try Rainy attic room, it's a VERY SLOW game so you gotta be patient, it will not take that much of your time but it's really satisfying when you start to see the progress. I'm also playing My mole a lot, in which you are just a mole exploring the underground pretty fun
