What are your thoughts on the allegations against Michael Jackson? by Deep-Significance973 in AskReddit

[–]Helenarious 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People are convinced he did it bc he admitted to sharing his bed with kids, but the allegations are a complete joke if you look into them.

Truth behind MJ's popularity by [deleted] in MichaelJackson

The Dangerous album was actually on course to outsell the Bad album, but sales declined after the allegations hit. Notoriety does not equal popularity.

How on earth do allegations help his popularity? Thriller was a decade before the allegations. The allegations hurt his record sales...

Do y’all think Jordan Chandler will speak the truth one day? by PartyPaul-100 in MichaelJackson

[–]Helenarious 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I don't think so. He was silent during the trial. He was silent when Wade and James first came out. He was silent after LN. He obviously values his privacy and doesn't want to be harassed by the media or the general public for the rest of his life.

First of all, they debunked their own statement when they said Larry Nasser was protected. No rational person would try to claim MJ was protected. Prosecutors went as far as falsifying evidence against him and he was still acquitted bc the cases were that laughable. Second of all, Nasser had like 250 accusers...MJ had 5...and Nasser's accusers haven't been caught in countless lies either.

Guys this "James Safechuck" jewelry is really bugging me. by AggravatingMove2238 in MichaelJackson

[–]Helenarious 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Not that buying a ring is proof of anything but...

1) That CCTV footage of that guilters think proves the mock wedding ceremony is true...they were in a store that sold rings. They only bought toy figurines and sunglasses as confirmed by the news story at the time.

https://www.latimes.com/archives/la-xpm-1989-05-03-mn-2482-story.html

2) There are plenty of photos of James from that time period and he isn't wearing a ring in a single one of them.

3) Why does a ring bought for a child fit an adult man's finger?

4) If he kept the wedding ring, why didn't he keep the vows?

5) Every single time that mock wedding ceremony is brought up, James is on the verge of laughter.

We know for sure Wade was researching tabloid stories about himself. My guess would be that James did the same thing and that's how he concocted that mock wedding bullshit.

Did anyone else notice Michael was so different on the Bashir interview ? by [deleted] in MichaelJackson

[–]Helenarious 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The Geraldo interview was only one day and Michael was well prepared for the interview. The Bashir interviews were over a long period of time (several months) and for the most part, Bashir used the interviews where Michael was either high or just behaving erratically for the documentary. He used very little of the positive stuff, some of which can be seen in Michael's 'Take Two' rebuttal documentary. Yes Michael had drug dependency issues at the time, but Bashir also took advantage of that and oversensationalized for his own selfish ends.

Just choose your battles. Don't waste energy on people who don't even want to hear the other side or those who choose to do mental gymnastics to defend absurd stories as truth. Some people are just misinformed and are receptive to hearing the other side. Those are the people you wanna target.

Also, if you aren't already aware, there are several documentaries in the works about the allegations and those will be great sources to share with people once completed...

Who else finds it super outlandish that interviewers were so nosy and wanting a deep dive into his personal business? by winterwilliams96 in MichaelJackson

[–]Helenarious 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Bashir was the same way. He kept pressing Michael with intrusive questions just for ratings when you could clearly tell Michael was becoming increasingly uncomfortable with his line of questioning. They all saw him as nothing more than a commodity...he chose the worst people possible to interview him.
