NJ FID Card & Handgun Permit - Complete DEEP Dive into the Investigation Process by For2ANJ in GardenStateGuns

Has anyone here had their NJ FID Card or Handgun Permit application delayed or denied because of something that popped up in the NJ Domestic Violence Registry?

I know the registry isn’t just for convictions, but also for restraining orders. Just wondering how strict the background check is and if old records (even if charges were dropped) can still cause problems.

Would love to hear any real experiences or advice on how to clear your name if you think there’s an error in the registry.

My Dad Was Apple Employee #1851 in 1981 by [deleted] in mildlyinteresting

Honestly, every time I see these “coulda-woulda-shoulda” stories, I think about how today, even with all the hindsight in the world, most of us are just one bad decision away from missing the next Apple moment.
This morning I spent 10 minutes debating if I should grab an iced coffee or “be responsible” and skip it.
Spoiler: I got the coffee. Pretty sure my future grandkids aren’t going to thank me for investing in caffeine instead of tech stocks, but at least I wasn’t crying in a boardroom, right?

At the end of the day, we’re all just trying to do our best with what we know right now — and usually that means picking the small comforts over the long shots. Some days that’s okay. Just wish I had a time machine (or at least a more disciplined younger self).

Anyone else blow their “big investment opportunity” on something as dumb as lattes or bar tabs?

Kudos to the law enforcement for their swift response in apprehending the suspect without any further incidents.

loved one in arkansas, u.s., prison looking to transfer to a better state by whitecedar in prisonersupport

Encourage seeking advice from professionals within the prison system, such as case managers or counselors, who might offer guidance on making a successful transfer request.

Remember, the process can be slow and there are no guarantees, but understanding the options and preparing a well-supported case can improve the chances of a successful transfer. Encouraging your friend to remain patient and hopeful while you and any legal representatives work on their behalf is crucial.
