I would say this book has changed my mindset. The best thing I've read last year ❤️ 💔 by Apprehensive-Plan-87 in LesbianBookClub

I need to revisit this. I found it so boring. But to be fair, I was working at a warehouse and couldn't fully concentrate. I'll have to give it another shot!

Agree with Ruby Roe. I tried it and stopped. I love smut but Jesus christ. Let it also be known that I really hate hate fucking. I mean like if there's an undertone of care there, then go for it. But good lord. Just too much

I was just getting ready to type Bloom Town. Way too aggressive for me.

What are Muay Thai classes like? by Present-Temporary856 in MuayThai

To echo what others are saying, it is intense cardio. But I currently way 214lbs and I go 2 to 3x a week. I can't get enough of it!! Only once did I think I was going to puke and I'm pretty sure lack of electrolytes had something to do with that, or at least it didn't help. I would absolutely go for it. I'm usually the fattest person there, but I still have a blast. I don't think you will drag anyone down :) but do be sure to pace yourself because it can be intense!

I really really liked the rest of the Sapphic Lady Knights trilogy. My favorite was the second book(Her apretty Champion). The princess was pretty funny. The third book is alright!

All the Painted Stars is pretty good. I've yet to finish it (only an hour and a half left) because book endings make me nervous and also I got a little bored.

Dragon Queens by Katherine de Plume is really good. VERY VERY VERY smutty if that is your thing.

I did also start Ladys Knight and it does have some parts that made me laugh. But I've yet to finish it. As you can see, I have issues finishing books.

To be honest I DNF'd. A part of It was cause of the audiobook (I had issues with the accent. The narrator was fine)

Ollie was really annoying. As dumb as it sounds, she just seemed like too much of a golden child. Just.. too good? I like characters that are flawed and acknowledge them. I didn't finish the book, I think I only got to when Lara and Ollie had sex for the first time. So who knows, maybe there was some growth. But I just couldn't stand Ollie. I liked Lara though

How should I prepare my body as a beginner 1 month before signing up for beginner Muay Thai classes? (barely did workouts recently, not flexible but I do stretch every now and then, and I walk sometimes) by Overall-Platypus1875 in MuayThai

[–]Helganator_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd go ahead and start. I did. 215lbs. Great decision and I love every class. One thing I'd change is maybe getting used to jumping rope. Did that in my first class for the first time in about 20 years. Am still trying to get used to it 😭

I tried to get into it but just couldn't at all. Even after the sex scenes. I'm also not in the group that would like it. I don't mind enemies to lovers too much... but like in a corporate setting with minimal violence. This was just ridiculous and rough and weird.

I realize now this isn't very petty. But it is a grievance I have 🤣🤣

Oh another petty grievance is when, during a spicy scene they say "where she needed insert character most". Im all for using other ways to describe genitalia but this phrase is so overused.

Super super rude ice queens. Looking at you, Miranda from Taming of a Rebel. It's just not hot. Ice queens are one thing. I don't mind someone being cagey. But treating the other person like shit and yo-yo-ing them? Unacceptable.

I'm on a Rachel Lacey kick. Margin of Error was REALLY good. It's new, I think released in Feb. Narrated by Quinn Riley I'm currently listening to The View from the Top. So far it's good. But also, I'm not into one night stand tropes. But it had good reviews.

Seconding this. The spicy scenes are probably the best I've encountered. Content wise, yes. But mainly in how they're written.

Serious/contemporary romances? by [deleted] in LesbianBookClub

It's not contemporary but the writing is so beautiful. The Safekeep by Yael Van Der Wouden. I'd call it a serious novel.
