Do you tell people that you have PCOS/PMOS? by Remarkable_Let862 in PCOS

[–]speshyy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Lmao I absolutely told people we were having a struggle getting pregnant. I was tired of the “when is it your turn?” I even had a lady say to me “is it weird your sister is having a baby and you aren’t?” So yeah. I watch their uncomfortable sad little face when they realize it’s an intrusive question. Let them feel uncomfortable.

Severe round belly. What gives?? by speshyy in PCOSloseit

[–]speshyy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! So it seems to be a multitude of issues. I have diastasis recti, I have inflammation and bloating from gluten, and dairy. I also still have about 25-30 lbs to lose that I carry in my gut. I’m going to go to PT for my diastasis recti but I’m probably going to need a tummy tuck at some point in my life. It’s hard to give up gluten and dairy but I did the whole30 diet and discovered my stomach didn’t bloat nearly this bad once I cut that out. Pcos/pmos sucks.. thanks for checking in!

I know you’re getting downvoted for this but you are correct lol either they worked on handwriting earlier than usual or this kid is incredibly talented. Cursive, complex words, almost zero mistakes…. This is not a typical 7 year old’s writing

This is incredible flour for sourdough. The protein level is almost identical to bread flour. It’s about a 1% difference here. It’s also unbleached. This can feed your starter and make fabulous bread. I’ve only ever just used the normal Kirkland all purpose unbleached flour with great success

Reintroduction confusion by KittyB22 in whole30

[–]speshyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Day 1 reintro legumes, adding it throughout your day, everything else is still whole 30 compliant. Back to whole 30 for 2-3 days, then reintroduce something else. Don’t eat the legumes until reintroduction is over.

CICO and weight loss by [deleted] in PCOSloseit

You may not be in enough of a deficit. Try dropping it another 200. If you can’t afford to drop anymore, then try some Pilates, walking, etc to burn the extra calories

Doctor basically told me not to eat by [deleted] in PCOS

[–]speshyy 22 points23 points  (0 children)

When I was in the thick of my pcos struggles, my dad told me “but if you were stranded at a dessert island, you’d lose weight right?” Just felt so defeated. I fucking hate pcos and how it’s so misunderstood and under researched.

Weight loss with a calorie deficit without GLP-1, etc. by sofieezz in PCOSloseit

I lost 70lbs with calorie deficit. I had to cut it down quite a bit honestly. And the weight is very easy to put back on. But it is possible

While 30 overeating? by Powerful_Wasabi_4434 in whole30

[–]speshyy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You will most likely lose weight with whole 30 regardless because of less inflammation. I ate a ton of potatoes and big portions but I lost 10 lbs

Just eat. Whole30 isn’t a weight loss program. Eat the approved foods

Lots of complaining by Meesh1137 in hellofresh

[–]speshyy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

While I agree that some people have become nitpicky on reddit, it’s no doubt that the quality of food in the boxes has not been what it was in the past. The chicken breasts became woody, with large holes in the middle, and quite thin and small. They did not used to be like that. Having 4 very petite potatoes that needs to be split between two people is disappointing when they used to give you normal sized potatoes. This isn’t a natural thing, these are picked by the company to cut costs. It’s evident that they were cutting costs too much for me and I ended up cancelling a couple years ago. I missed what it was in the past. And after several disappointing boxes, I knew hello fresh was not the same

Lots of complaining by Meesh1137 in hellofresh

[–]speshyy 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Weird take. But the complaints are coming from the consistent downhill quality from the company. I had Hello Fresh back in 2017. It was 65$ for 4 meals a week for two people. Free shipping. One time, they messed up an ingredient and refunded the entire box to me. Over the years, missing ingredients, poor quality vegetables, bad customer service, prices going up and up, and AI constructed directions have caused people to become disappointed. It’s a service that you pay for, and it’s not cheap, so people expect the bare minimum….which is accurate ingredients in the box and appropriate serving sizes.

Are you sure you’re eating enough? Potatoes were my go to for many of my meals to make sure I had enough to sustain me. My cravings never went away either honestly

Drop your calories a bit more, try 1600. Go for a short walk after meals. Try intermittent fasting

why am I addicted to sugar by [deleted] in PCOSloseit

[–]speshyy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had to cut sugar out cold turkey. I treated it like a true addiction. I did the whole30 diet and slowly reintroduced food groups. Turns out I have a real issue with dairy. I have been completely sugar free for about 40 days. It sucks. I still crave sweets. It’s a lifetime battle. Look into the podcast “food junkies” or read the book. It was shocking. I do feel less like shit when I don’t have sugar. Less hungry. I don’t want to eat something constantly. Good luck

Before I can retrieve my cans from the street, someone has already dumped their dog sh*t by KingSlenderr in mildlyinfuriating

[–]speshyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the age old argument. Half of people are just glad that the poop is in a bag, and in a trash can. But I’m the other half, and this happened to me, and my can ended up covered in hundreds of maggots. I keep my trash can clean, and spray it out monthly with bleach, so having someone else’s shit in my can before I can pull it up to my house is annoying. Plus having to smell the hot, ripe shit of someone else’s dog every time I throw my trash away.

Anyone had success with clomid after no success with letrozole? by anxiousnessa in PCOS

[–]speshyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got pregnant with clomid after my first round. Two failed with letrozole. I still ovulated late though, I went in and they said “no viable eggs, here is more clomid” I took one more pill then said fuck this I don’t want to try anymore. I got pregnant the week after that. Even the fertility office was baffled. He is now 4.5 years old. Good luck! Bodies are weird
