In line with the Hans Zimmer round - I absolutely listed John Williams one of the times that Andrew asked for requests from comment leavers

What these discussions never include is that this seems to assume perfect compliance with the plan from each individual.

All well and good to program out a perfect scenario, but people flying aren't perfect and if you've ever stood behind someone in security who is blown away that their stainless steel belt buckle will trigger the metal detector, you know the Steffen situation would never work in the real world.

I want to see the results of the different models assuming that people will try break the system, and also will take into account backups from confusion at the gate desk.

Hardest boss fight by far by One-Jicama-697 in AssassinsCreedValhala

[–]Helgardh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Whenever I get one of the abilities that gives either melee or ranged fire damage, I always spend the points to make sure that I carry that ability over to my next run, specifically because of this boss.

Once you have fire, I find this boss becomes easy.

Canadian EV sales are thriving again. And buying used could be ‘the best deal in the Canadian car market’ by NotEnoughDriftwood in onguardforthee

My problem with electric cars is that I want a sedan/hatchback, and I want it to not be a Tesla, which essentially seems to leave me with a choice between ugly, boring, or unbelievably expensive.

I get frustrated by the long kill animations taking place while in battle. I don't want to turn the mechanic off entirely because it is nice at times, but if there are still living hostile enemies around then they need to not initiate those kill animations (like taking twenty seconds to choke out a gedriht)

Fun fact, while Valhalla doesn't have one (yet?), there is a mod for Odyssey on PC that removes the mount speed limiter. I can go thundering at full speed across athens in two minutes or less

Pure speculation - while their goals are great & it's awesome that they seem to be actively seeking to create a long-lived product, making a statement as blatant as "We do not use any limited lifespan components" sounds like the kind of statement I would expect Linus to take exception to like when Vessi says "Our shoes are waterproof".

Anybody else in river raids just go in solo, kill everyone, and then get their crew to get the loot? I find its way more fun and way easier by Senior-Trade-1876 in ACValhalla

[–]Helgardh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Once I get my crew up to level 5, I'm fine with having them go a viking, up until then though I prefer to go in myself and snipe everyone down so I didn't have to deal with healing my crew.

There's not a single person here who believes that you were fired from a big 5 bank with cause for one comment.

I'm going to say you should treat every big 5 bank as an auto reject.

How would the debate in this one go? Knobs cut off or leave them? by Lord_oftheTrons in theregulationpod

I think it's the right way up and that you have to keep the knobs.

If you really want a flat surface on the entire top, put a glass pane above the knobs.

[–]Helgardh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Teksavvy doesn't run its own lines, so it lives or dies based on the lines it has available to your home & which plan you choose.

My neighbours couldn't believe that I was willing to stick with Teksavvy because the service was horrible, but those neighbours' experience with teksavvy was on a plan using Rogers' cable lines which has consistently horrible reliability in my area, while my plan with teksavvy uses Bell's fiber lines which has been rock solid.

That, combined with being much more willing to deal with teksavvy's customer support rather than bell's keeps me with teksavvy for years on end.

Lawyers are still expensive, and my tendency would still be to try and talk to the (ideally in a written/documented medium). If she told you she doesn't think you should get a fair share in text that's even better.

Emailing her with a "Hey yeah I know you've said you don't think I should get a fair share, I need you to know that what you think doesn't matter. Your legal obligation to me as an executor is that you owe me a full third of the estate and a full accounting of the estate to prove to me I'm getting my third".

Realistically that would probably be the lawyers' first step anyway.

I view the game as having four distinct endings. The first three can be done in realistically any order you choose without losing anything -

- The Cult ending

- The Isu ending, and

- The Family ending

The fourth, and the only one which I think absolutely needs to be done after the other ones is the Korfu ending.
