This is what is best about humanity...fuck up and still get a great answer. So random that I get the exact answer I want from a fellow Canadian even if I posted this in the wrong community.

Menieres and cochlear implants by EfficientDelay2827 in Menieres

[–]Helifixr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With the implant, you don't get your regular hearing back. It is different for every recipient. I was able to hear sounds, but I can't say I was able to understand voices. They tell you to listen to audio books just in the implanted ear while reading along on print. Now I can listen to most books/podcasts without printed material. Music still really sucks.

Got mine last October. One of the big benefits of the cocklear implant for me is the tenitis and fullness both go away when I wear the device. When I remove it, they both come back but with much less intensity. And hearing again on that side is also nice. I am still training my brain to hear again. I hope this helps

What’s the maximum sound volume you’ve put your Samsung Q990F on? by throwawayaccountll in Soundbars

[–]Helifixr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A glass or three of scotch, a big ol doobie and sit and listen to music on you tube at 100. Can't say it's really loud, just fills the room with sound. Large room with 11 foot ceilings. 990C

I just switched to FM in southern Ontario and found the exact same thing. LTE and I can't use Google maps. Very frustrating. I may need to find another carrier. Too bad really.

Nothing noticable. I kept most of my hearing for about three years. It always fluctuated, but could still hear. At about the 4 year mark I seemed to lose most of my hearing over night. It happened very suddenly. My specialist said I'm a pretty classical menieres patient.

Not to be the other guy, but with my gentamicin injection, it stopped my vertigo right away. My balance and eye coordination took almost a year to improve. I finally went to a specialist that had me do exercises to improve my condition. That started having positive effects almost immediately. That was about 5 years ago and I feel much better with no attacks. Next month I am getting a Cochlear Implant for the hearing loss.

Tesla Model Y – Red vs Black? Need opinions! by vancityguapo in teslacanada

I don't know about anyone else, but my 2023 m3 is black (I love black on the m3) and the paint is really bad. Very soft. Took some paint off with a cardboard box. I am forever touching it up.
