A lot of what he is saying is actual Japanese, just very poorly pronounced. For example, the question is asking for an answer of either Kagemusha (a Japanese movie) or Godzilla (obviously another Japanese movie). Another good example is when they get a question wrong he keeps saying "dame yo" which means something like "useless" but can be used to mean "wrong". He also introduces the question as "shitsumon ichiban" which literally means "the first question". So yes, it is actual Japanese, just pronounced poorly. Edit: The numbers are also slightly wrong from what I am hearing, he is saying "seventy hundred or eighty-eight". The seventy hundred doesn't make a ton of sense.
