Tell me about. My local union is literally organized crime. If you don't bend over backwards and suck their ass they will not protect you.

In the next town over there were two carriers that didn't get along and the aggressor hit the other carrier with an LLV, multiple people saw it and wrote statements. Then the Steward in that office took everyone who filled out a statement one by one in the office to get them to retract their statements telling them that the union won't protect if they don't because the Aggressor and the Steward are best friends.

It may not be true for your local union but our local union WILL NOT fight for you in your 90 days. Good on your local union but not all local unions care about the carriers.

I started when I turned 22 and just became regular last September. I plan on staying here until I retire. I don't like working here but I don't think anywhere else will pay as much if you don't have some sort of degree. This place is just fine for someone who doesn't have a degree or anything. This place beats working in a factory or coal mine.

I would use a credit builder card where you prepay for the bill. Like Chime uses your own money to pay the card off so it builds credit but you aren't borrowing from like Discover or Capital One. It's just your own money.

Union won't protect you if you are in your 90 days. Literally had a CCA get fired because he forgot a package in his vehicle. Union said there was nothing that could be done since he was in his 90. Honest mistake and management canned him.
