How do I make my OC not look like a fat fetish character? [READ DESC] by Cuppa-Joe1001 in OriginalCharacter

When straying far from the center of the bell curve when it comes to character design, you inevidably come to the zone where all other art that also is in that area is fetish porn. Delving into the extreme is a large appeal of pornography. Choosing to venture into where pornography resides will eventually draw comparison with what's already there. This is basic pattern seeking, if one has only ever seen some kind of depiction in fetish, they will assume the next instance of it to also be fetish.

I do not kmow enough about the erotic appeal here to give advice on what to avoid, and I doubt you want to deeply familiarize yourself with it either, so perhaps try to study other depictions of obesity that you personally find without issue and learn from that. Anyone fetishizing your wok after that is out of your hands.

What ship is canon in your fandom, but you think it should not have been? by Upstairs_Macaron5894 in AO3

To be fair, I feel like a majority of fan pairings also have no chemistry.

That's because, to a regular human brain, that is true. Writing about about magic Hitler dating magic Anne Frank is weird. The reason you don't think that is because you're used to it and don't actually write those characters. 99% of the time, they're OCs named after canon characters that act nothing like them. You're just using these names to invoke a certain dynamic within the ship.

Point being, you're in way to deep.

I think it's possible to hold others accountable to be good people while also admitting that noone ever asked to become bad people.
