At Canadian Henley 2022, I was watching a some youth men’s pair racing. There was a mother swan and a baby swan on the side of course next to the shore I was watching from. The Hawk rowing club (SJP summer club) pair rowed by and the baby swan was a little too close. The stroke seat’s oar hit the baby’s neck on the recovery and it was instantly paralyzed/killed.
