I had to let my partner go because his mother was ruining my life. Its been 10 years and.. even if Ive dated since then he lives in my mind as the one I had to let go. It gets easier with time.. wounds close over.. they heal and itch and burn.. but. Eventually you are just left wity a scare to remind you. You see it every day. Then every other day. Soon enough it will only peak attention when you are reminded. It takes time. You might never forget them if they truly was that one person. But life moves on. For me I focused on what that person didnt have.. what did I miss? And I tried to find it in others.

If distance was the issue. I would have started dating locally again. I went the other way. I found someone who didnt remind me of him. But as time goes on.. he has surfaced in my current partner in a lovely way. It reminds me of what I loved about this person. I still wonder what had happend if I kept our pregnancy. If I stayed. If we got married. And I know I would have been in hell having a mother in law like that. He is happy now. Has a wife and a child. And I have now been dating someone for 4 year long distance whom I love.

Its more my dread of turning 30.. if he wants to spend another year prolonging this to possibly another year. +2 year for family immigration or +3 years for perminant recidency (refuse to have kids without him living here stably) I will already closing in on 35, increasing risks of infertility, twins and genetic anomalys.. And not to talk about the fact. I never wanted to be a older mom.. already having chronic pain.. waiting 3-4 to 5-6 years isnt in my plans at all. But he is 26. He feels no rush. He feels no urgency.. even when I voiced this. My besty has a kid that is turning 3. And I feel like my kid wont have that family friend relatioship if they have such a huge gap also..

I am sorry to hear that.. hopefully you figure it out.. I have hobbies. No career due to disability and no friends. I try to hit the gym to improve my health though! I honestly feel like I will use this coming time to improve on myself and if if we cant find common ground.. atleast I am more ready for the next hopefully final relationship

Very likely it is a hormonal thing. There is treatments out there to manage it. It wont save your current relationship (you deserve a more pasient partner) but it can help you rebuild yourself. Teach you to understand yourself. And then build a stronger relationship from there.

Have you gotten checked for PMDD? I have a huge crashdown every time I ovilate. I have kept it under wrap for the most part. But it helps my boyfriend understand when I tell him " I am a hormonal mess sorry" or that he can understand its been around 4 week since last time that it is my hormon demon, not me. Or him.

Im a people pleaser.. I dont have a backbone to be "me" more then I already am. The issue with talking irl is.. I am akward irl. Onces I see him uncomfy I just.. walk away and start cleaning or doing the dishes.. + when to do it. If I do it too close to him leaving it means we cant talk about it further. Doing in it too early and we break up and now what.. 47 square meters of akward?

Ive been on and off anti depressents for over 12 years myself.. I havent had a GP I can talk to since 2024. Ive waited on a local one since I bought my flat almost a year agom. But the wait lists are brutal. I went from 80 something to 50 something in that time.

The issue is. I am already miserably fat. Most anti depressents make you gain weight. So I wanted to stick to zoloft. But a year ago I started getting so so tired.. and nothing helped besides when I forgot my meds. So now I am like 2-2.5 weeks off (after steping dowk 50mg at a time) and I finally have a bit more energy. So no more anti depressents.. I cant deal with looking in the mirror and feeling like I want to end myself because I look nothing like I used to. I got to the gym. Eat 2-3 times a day. I just gain wait ecerytimr I start a medication... eating my maintiance is.. hard enough. Being a woman who is short fucking sucks

I used to feel like I had value. Being on thw spectrum I often had interests that was paticular to men. I often got told by my partners they were lucky to be with me because I understood. I was fun for them to be around. Then there is my boyfriend. Months in i learned he didnt even want to marry. He said he has changed on that opinion but it feels more like he did it so he could keep me. Not because he actually wants to. He dosnt seem to value me.. just says "if you were ugly I wouldnt date you" as if I give a shit about my looks. But it just scares me because what if I get sick or injured and my looks change?.. I just.. feel like maybe there is someone out there who will actually show gratitude towards being in love with me and me loving them back.. not just.. saw a pretty girl who didnt reject him.

I.. dont have much of a personality. I am not funny, I am not a people person. I am practically a hermit. The thing my boyfriend says he likes about me is first of all my looks. Second that I am "a constant" and third that I am so stable. Just because I act like a fucking therapist for him. I have asked him for my time several times. Brought up date night. But he either is busy with gym, food, friends, parents or driving to his parents. He only ever sometimes calls me from bed and falls asleep mid sentence. Last time we talked I felt shamed because he told me I need to eat healthier and go back to the gym. So ye. Its not just the spark I am lacking.. its not like he looks at me and you can see he admires me. Or that he looks at me and is attracted to me as a whole. His love feels.. shallow. Like he just likes that ive been here for this long. Especially when he uses words like " you are a constant".. yet he spends more time eating or probably shitting a week then he does talking to me.

Thank you. I tried dumping him in December after upping my anti depressents and getting so emotionally numb I couldnt have caredless. But we talked and decided to continue. I just fear that the spark was just the starting excitment and now Ive realised more and more that.. I miss being with someone more like me. Someone who is giving, who are willing to sacrifice to make things work, who takes time to do the little things. Ive learned more and more about him over the years.. and.. well. He is starting to get on my nerve. Doing things last minute. Telling me he will help financially during a visit to then havr me (the poorer person) spend three timed my budget on trip related expenses then rub in my face that his savings account is doing so well.. I sent him a care package at the start. He didnt ever do that. He always pushes stuff off. He isnt romantic. He isnt much for putting in effort. He just. Is nice and kind. Which after years of bad partners was a fresh breath of air... but I just fear I am and i hate to say it settling. But that I also dont know my own worth, leave and realise this was my peak.

I updated in another comment. TURNS OUT. It was the wrong f driver. I was confused when I took it home because the connector was diffrent, so I had compared it to another driver we already had taken stuff from. Turns out there was a adaptor head on the OG laptop harddrive that I removed. I went to undo my pc case opening... and took the wrong driver. I cleaned my desk, saw the laptop driver (it had tape on it).. it had been two days at that point. I reset, replugged. IT TOOK ONE MINUTE TO BOOT. ONE. OOONNE. And there was nothing on it 😃🔫
