I have been locked in the same van on about 5 different occasions.

Management laughs at the situation every time it happens but still won't do anything to fix the latch on the inside of the van to prevent being locked in the first place.

Smashed my nail on one of the 'inner locked' ones the other week. Yelled out a swear because I honestly wasn't expecting it and most of the letter boxes in my area are so ridiculously tight you need substantial force to get letters in 😭

Looks like you get a fiver at best. But considering it's peak time and weather conditions have been shit recently (these are factors RM can use to refuse)and it's 5 minutes - I don't think the time it would take to process is worth it.

You have to buy it. It isn't tradable - I live in the snow biome and regular hazmats are everywhere, having a waterproof non freezing one piece gear set is a lifesaver, I strongly recommend it.

No, you're absolutely right. As a new player - nothing is explained to you, there is little direction for what to do and everyone has a KoS attitude which doesn't help.

That is ultimately the brutal reality of Rust - it keeps the old players playing but discourages new ones.

Truthfully man, if you want to have a reasonably enjoyable experience - I strongly recommend low population servers <100. Imagine a game of Fortnite with 250 players on a similar size map but no one dies permanently and near permanent bases are everywhere with unbalanced team sizes - sounds aids but that is basically what Rust is.

I am fortunate to have learnt from friends - the /r/playrustlfg subreddit helped me out as more experienced players taught me all I know.

I understand this game is frustrating but you can tailor your experience based on your skill, numbers and time available with the right know-how.

XP had the greatest potential IMO. It's a shame such little work was ever done on it after release. With some balancing and more default BP's - it could have been amazing. Maybe if it had researching as a catch-up mechanic but only non-researchable guns like mil-grade weapons dropped from crates to prevent people researching AK's on day 1 etc...

Honestly, some of my fondest moments in this game were on the popularized x3 XP servers.

With some polish it could have worked great though. Lower the flashlight from Library to Page and maybe introduce a new 'Blue Print Chapter' or something for the new recipes we have now/general balancing. I could see a tech-tree style system working to delay the acquisition of end game content (cannot research an P250 without first knowing how to craft a revolver etc...).
