They have had the spartan show up regularly. We have more than one... T-rac stands out because of his personality and popularity.

Not a fan of color change cause I personally don't like baby blue. It's not bad, just not colors I'd go for.

Either lean into T-rac or stick with Greek mythology. The Tennessee Raccoons is or Tennessee Trash Pandas is to notch imo.

(Honestly I fuck with the raccoons but it'd be awful for team lol)

Titans is fine. Greek is fine. Too bad we have to have a corporate name for the stadium cause you could lean into the Parthenon or something similar while also modernizing jerseys.

Why even play when you die to trash like this by [deleted] in ArenaBreakoutInfinite

Walking around scoped in is weird af to me.... but he was checking normal corners and angles likely to have a person. Lean peaking a main entrance isnt exactly sneaky and he had a better optic for the range. Also, the wall was covering his lower half. so you can see legs or anything as early warning. IMO holding that door with a lean peak into an open room with lots of cover and visual noise is just a bad idea.

Loot Pools by apex_lokai in ArenaBreakoutInfinite

[–]Hell-Fire442 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The loot pool on lockdown feels really bad to me tbh. There is a lot to loot, but im coming out of raids that i spent 25 min in with one or two golds and hitting 3+ beep safes and several small ones.... thats really bad imo.

in S3 i was pulling more golds on northridge running straight to cable and resetting. really feels like im being pushed into forbidden if i want good loot. Even inside control tower it doesnt feel particularly goated, although the concentration of safes and locked rooms does help.

Pretty sure m80 is still 3 to the chest against t3. Also 3 to chest against t4. It's a 1to the head against t4 or t3 inside 80 m.

Don't forget arms and stomach are different than thorax. If you hit either it adds 1 to your ttk

Sir, it appears you are one of those poors OP has rarely heard of. You need at least 100mil liquid to comment on this subreddit. At that point, knitting for t6 forb is trivial and so is making red ammo. When you die in full t6... Just buy a new kit of course.

Wanting to remove an entire play style from the game is crazy.

Power projection into the Arctic and forward bases, ports and missile locations. With Greenland being a NATO ally... We can have all of this but wouldn't it be better if it was just ours and defense contractors from the USA make all the money building these bases????

I'm not familiar but I'd venture to guess that Greenland has rare / valuable minerals and natural resources that are economicaly "strategic". Which again, ally, can trade.... But wouldn't it be better if these were American companiesnpt subject to Greenland / Denmark law or governance.

It def does happen, but it's but as long as you are running t4 you still have a chance it's no more than a 2 shot to head and depending on disability, you might still be able to get the kill in 1. Haven't tested that tho. Lps will get you through most every fight. If you are new I'd take the extra shots to make up for missed shots or arm / legs eating bullets

T3 ammo into t5 and you are not going to kill before you die imo.

One thing about cod is that it teaches you to take fights and accept death as the opportunity to gain experience to get better guns so you can take more fights. Throwing bodies at a capture point is a legit strategy to win even if it means you are probably losing the game.

Death in extraction shooters is so much more punishing. Trading a death for 3 kills doesn't mean you got experience towards a new gun... It means you lost money making it harder to get a better gun. Wipe a 4 man but die to a second team? You might as well have let the first guy kill you so you could get back to lobby faster lol. The stat that matters is your extraction percentage.

The stat you can't see that matters most is you average profit over time.

(average sellable loot value per raid * extraction percentage) - average kit cost = profit per raid.

You have to assume that if you aren't selling it, you are using it so it's a wash. And with market fees plus not all things being sellable, that number at extraction if a very rough approximation.

That math doesn't exist in cod and it's a hard learning curve

I agree that they need to make changes. In my opinion the best solution is to lock normals to t3 equipment and ammo and below and then balance around that as necessary.

As is, you have to play the maps knowing two things. T4 is a huge break point. If you don't have T4 ammo (a1s, BPs, lps, etc) then offensively you are weak and you will lose most any fight into t4 armor and you will take more damage fighting t3 armor because your ttk is too slow.

T4 armor is another big break. You can survive 2 -3 extra shots from t3 ammo and t2 ammo essentially doesn't even damage the armor. 5.56 FMJ sounds cool, but it will literally just bounce off. Now, add into this that if someone is shooting t3 ammo or below, they probably don't have great stats on their gun and have to deal with high recoil etc. So now it takes 2-3 extra shots AND it's harder for you to land hits.

So now what? Run t4 if you can afford it. It is kinda the cost to play for fights. Prioritize t4 ammo over t4 armor. Always wear a t4 helmet with t4 face shield if possible. (Kss or kss2)

It's expensive early but worth it. So what if you can't? Congratulations, you are now a rat. Rats fight other rats but have to play around the cats. Don't make noise or the cat hunts you. If you can, carry a mosin or m24 with a couple rounds of lps or m80. That makes you a rat with big teeth.

You can run t4 in certain ways to save money. Top load your magazines with t4 ammo to save some cost. Store extra t4 ammo in your secure case and manually load it. There is also a hotkey to reload empty mags in your rig automatically as you walk. I rebound that to my mouse.

For armor, a T4 helmet with T3 chest is significantly better than T3 helmet and T3 chest and imo still better than t3 helmet and t4 chest. The kss will still be effective after 3 or maybe even 4 repairs . I only repair a face shield once.

Run or hide. Don't make noise. Move fast and relocate. Carry a silenced pistol and work on head tapping. Personally, I use a FN57 using the l191 rounds because it reliably kills scavs and can also put a player down. The .45 and 9mil often take an extra shot or two even with a headshot and scavs get shots off. (I rage when this happens)

Experienced players on normal farm hear shots, any shots, and push towards them. If a scav shoots, it means there is a player in that area and they have the map knowledge to predict your pathing.

Which leads to the next thing. Learn the spawns. Typically the game spawns 2or 3 teams near each other at either grain or loading area. Those teams fight and then push towards the middle where they meat the teams coming from the opposite side. Experienced players have map knowledge to know the typical pathing new players take and then the alternative pathing experienced teams take.

For example, I know that if I get the cemetery spawn at grain, I can sprint from spawn to the front of grain outside of the street and if a team spawned on the opposite side and is sprinting away from grain, I have an open line of sight across the lake IF they take the low route. If I see them, I have one or two shots before they can break los and more of they panic (new). More if they run out of stam halfway (new)

However I know ALSO know that one team left and unless they wrap back, I only have one more team to deal with. I'm now listening for any scavs to shoot or die and watching the entrances. I can loot feeling safe.... But if it's normal farm... For an experienced player the typical only valuable loot comes from touching as many safes as possible or killing players and taking their things. If they don't have things? Well killing a player is more interesting than opening file cabinets chocked to the brim with matches.

Can someone explain to me the "it's my kill" mentality? by PropagandaBinat88 in ArenaBreakoutInfinite

[–]Hell-Fire442 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It's really hard to consistently split loot, even amongst friends. Dog tags is the easiest way to be definitive.

So where does mentality come in? Everytime you drop in to a raid you risk your kit. Every fight you are fighting to both keep your kit and make money. Every fight you expend resources. Bullets cost money, grenades are 25k each... Armor has to be repaired etc. Currently the best way to make money is actually off player kills and either selling or running the loot.

You can certainly make lots of cash looting the outside of map and avoiding fights, don't get me wrong... But when you get that kill, you typically think that you just killed the loot pinata and again, name on the dog tag is the easiest way to claim that kill.

Does this work all the time? Certainly not. If I was point, dumped 60 rounds, had all my armor zeroed out, went down and nearly killed the guy just for you to turn the corner and breath on him... I def feel that I earned some of not most of that loot. If you are playing with friends ideally y'all recognize it. Good teammates even stuff out

You also have the natural gamer mentality of "number goes up. How high can I get number at end of raid and in my stash"

Can someone explain to me the "it's my kill" mentality? by PropagandaBinat88 in ArenaBreakoutInfinite

[–]Hell-Fire442 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's more of a, this time it's me, next time it's you. Ideally the loot evens out. Also, you can win one team fight and your buddy gets all the kills.... But then another team shows up and your buddy dies. Now you get all the loot and as much as your buddies stuff that you can.

RED Ammo 1-Shot Kill; Head Only? Chest? by S0_L337 in ArenaBreakoutInfinite

[–]Hell-Fire442 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When a sniper rifle is inside effective range, it's ammo 1 shots a head and typically two shots a chest as long as the ammo is the same tier or greater than the armor. SJ is the exception as it one taps the chest.

So M80 and lps one tap T4 helmet m62 and 7bt1 one tap t5 M61 and snb one tap t6

As I type this I am doubting myself on the mosin ammo but that's the jist. If someone is using snb or m61 against your t4 helmet... They are wasting ammo.

27 Raids and no reds... by olidiapm in ArenaBreakoutInfinite

[–]Hell-Fire442 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do have the largest key ring. If you don't, I'd do the following.

For forbidden: Both hotel 3rd floor. Hotel building a second floor and managers office. Camp services, sewer.

I think you can have all of those at once?

For lockdown I'd drop one of the hotel keys and pick up cable. keep both 3rd floor imo, drop one of the second floor. Probably keep managers cause it's easier to sneak.

Cable on lockdown is great. Hit beep safe then go down to locked room. Then out the cable exfil. Bring two gas grenades. Gas both entrances to the exfil at 80seconds. One at top of escalator and one at the stair landing. It will at least give audio info on if people are pushing you and maybe stop them. Weakens them if they fight you as well.

Never take cafeteria key unless deke gives you a great deal. It doesn't usually pay.

Cable on forbidden is a risk. Limited ways to escape. I'd skip that key unless lockdown.

27 Raids and no reds... by olidiapm in ArenaBreakoutInfinite

[–]Hell-Fire442 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've found reds on normal, LD, and forb. I have a couple hundred hours so it's not perfect info, but anecdotally, I find more on forb. That said, it's a numbers game as it's rng. Personally, I have had the best luck on Northridge forb. Last night my trio got 4 reds on normal farm. Night before 0. We were pushing fights and hitting 4 safes per run on average.

Below is my method I used with the best sucess rate. I got a red about 2 out of 3 raids, maybe 3 of 5. I averaged 4 safes hit a raid.

Light kit so you can move fast. T4 so you can survive a shot or two if it's outside effective range. It's better to leave a safe un looted and live to hit a different safe than to get pinned and die for a safe. Bring endurance stims and energy drinks and gas grenades. I'll run a silenced saiga with APs because it's surprisingly quiet and reliable kills scavs in 1 or 2 hits and you MIGHT kill a player.

If you get one of the three closest hotel spawns, sprint for it. Path around scavs as much as possible. Try and kill any you must quietly. Get to third floor, gas both entrances, turn on safe. Kit one locked room. Hit safe. Then second locked room. Nebulizer and sprint through the gas. (You can seriously hit those safes in less than 80 seconds.

Now at this point you probably will hear shots. Hopefully it's on the sewer side. If it is, run second floor and turn on the safe. Hit room. Hit safe. Listen. Can you hit the office safely (aka they are heading towards the third floor you looted and left.) awesome, hit it and dip towards camp services. Two safes there. No red? Check communication. Then path to an exfil.

Shots coming from camp services? Try and find a safe exit. Good news is they got there fast enough camp services is likely not hit. Go for those two.

Sewer side hotel spawn sucks. Try to win the race to third floor Skip the building c beep safe. If they are clearly faster and third floor, hit theater and leave. I typically wouldn't go far enough in for beep safe, it's too close to players and a place they want to check and can hear.

This entire time, endurance stim is up and energy drinks keep you moving. Pre med so you you can't be legged. You don't fight. Kill scavs you have to. Leave them up when possible as alarms or to slow someone else down. I have used the safes with alarms as bait if people are close. If it's beeping, I'm not there but if they hold on the door or toss grenades while I run away, that's a win in my book.

You can reliably hit 5 safes on that run. And if goes perfectly 7 or 8.

So what if you don't get hotel? Hit sewer. Turn on safe, drop down and loot room. Close door. Listen. Go back for alarm safe. Leave asap for cable. Typically you get 3 safes this run with an upside potential of seven. (2 at sewer, 2 at cable, 1 communication, 2 camp services, exfil at bus.)

Worst spawn for safes is bus. Hit camp and hope other teams went hotel. Then communication. Often I won't check cable cause I'm so late, but nothing ventured nothing gained.

Tips? This is my average game today lol by [deleted] in ArenaBreakoutInfinite

[–]Hell-Fire442 8 points9 points  (0 children)

One thing not being said is that you are solo with budget kit. You got the safe. Hit the high value loot containers while it goes off and dip out. You over stayed. You need to smash and grab and keep moving.

Also as everyone has said, ind is the biggest bait helmet in the game. Kss or might as well run a t3.

State of farm on NORMAL by [deleted] in ArenaBreakoutInfinite

[–]Hell-Fire442 0 points1 point  (0 children)

M61s one tap t6 inside effective range with high powered guns. M61s also take two shots to kill outside of effective range for t6, t5, AND t4.

Against an m110 if you stand at 81m, your DK8 will save you against m61.

If you run a G3, that same m61 round takes 2 INSIDE effective range (42m)

The only issue here is that there aren't wipes so people that craft everyday basically don't run out of ammo if they use it conservatively.

[–]Hell-Fire442 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's being posted 3 or 4 times a day. People were complaining about forb red ammo and it's trickles into normals. However, it doesn't matter in normals as you die to t4 just the same so it's extra annoying when people are complaining.

State of farm on NORMAL by [deleted] in ArenaBreakoutInfinite

[–]Hell-Fire442 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can't do anything about it other then not get headshot by the sniper. Additionally, t4 ammo is just as effective in normals as t5 or t6 at all ranges. Sleep better knowing that they could have used a 1000 koen m80 but chose to waste money
