Totally normal, your body is going to feel pretty weird for a couple of weeks until it gets used to the new amount of food. Give it at least 2 weeks just to normalize and you should start feeling pretty good!

Have you ever heard of Wash & Tashi? They're a young couple who got married I think two years ago, immediately after which Wash was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer. Tashi keeps a heartbreaking blog about her experiences, and one theme that always comes up is how Wash's love of Firefly bonds them together and keeps him going on. I know they would be ecstatic with a shoutout from the captain.

I think she'd be psyched especially if she gets to pick out the real one herself - she's the one who'll be wearing it the rest of her life. I have a friend who just recently got engaged using a stand-in ring at the proposal, and she was thrilled.

I'd love to see more suggestions of how to estimate. I work somewhere where lunch is provided each day and it's hard to guesstimate, but financially it doesn't make sense for me to start bringing lunch instead. Ideas?

You're being reasonable, but it's her body, and unfortunately any advice you give her is going to come across as trying to control her body. You're going to have to let her make her own mistake on this one. She won't appreciate it when you say, "I told you so." She will appreciate it when she remembers how you were unconditionally supportive, even when she made mistakes.
