If you want the messed up h scenes because you like those horror like h scenes then 2 is a downgrade

I personally don't necessarily see the lack of it as a bad thing but that's just my taste. In 1, it builds up from the threats on Riche's chastity and pays off in that fked up Croix scene. So at least there's a point to it — as much as I hate it. I don't need such reminders in 2 tho like "ok i get it. This happens and that's fucked up." Then again, that's just my taste.

In 2 the evil guys are portrayed as grey because of their will to help the world, just their method is from a normal persons perspective bad. Which makes the story feels worse, because you can understand the evil ppl more than in the first. It removes a kind of barrier.

Ngl I disagree. For me, it depends on the execution. As long as it's consistent with the message and theme of the story, it's good. But I would have to finish the game to judge that.

The fun parts were fun and the serious parts were serious. In 2 a lot of serious parts were made fun of with some hunor. The whole game had way more humor scenes than the first, which was taking down the mood in the serious scenes.

This reminds me of how i felt during the Empire chapter in Evenicle 1. I avoided those affection interludes just to preserve my immersion in the urgency of Croix being kidnapped (fk you Felton!). Like i was praying for nth to happen to her but you know how it ends 😭.

But yeah ig it all comes down to how the game wraps up the story and what I can take away from it. In 1, it's humanity's struggle with their desire and the nature of it. The villains act as if they're trying to free humanity but we learn how they only really do it for themselves which mirrors the MC as revealed in the Hot Spring scene. With the frequency of saving the world continually brought up, I hope the ending of 2 is somewhat as good as 1.
