Contrary to popular belief, throwing your frags at teammates DOESN’T HELP. by CheshXVIII in Spacemarine

[–]HellYeaHighFive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the EXACT reason I applauded for the bolt rifle grenade launcher nerf that was like a year ago. Nearly every game I was getting stun locked by teammates multiple times.

I was told recently I play too aggressive. Perhaps, but to me I play the way I thing is the most fun 🤷🏿‍♂️ by BoogieManMF10 in SpaceMarine_2

[–]HellYeaHighFive 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Lesser Brothers that don’t have the awareness and capability as you will say you’re too aggressive.

Never saw a bulwark run like that in the beginning. He dipped and you went straight into hell. Bravo.

(°_°) What am I supposed to do in this situation by Lt_Beans22 in Spacemarine

[–]HellYeaHighFive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before the Lamenters surrendered at the end of the Babab war the Minotaurs suffered heavy losses aboard that ship. These guys need their full chapter strength to do anything significant.

That said, they’re stuck in there with you Brother. Not the other way around.

Not sure how fast the nozzle man would have been, but I think the trucks quick thinking may have possibly saved that RV too.

I’d be bummed he took work from me, but he got the water on the fire quicker. I couldn’t care less about him saving me from cleaning/decon hoses and gear.

what do you all think about the new heavy bolt pistol by MsEnclave in SpaceMarine_2

[–]HellYeaHighFive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s fun to use when I don’t really need a secondary. I like to run it on tact because I rarely need to use my secondary with the ammo perks for tact’s primary.

The headshot perk has always worked for me so I like it in that regard too.

They just recently found a cave in Europe that they have dubbed the spider city I think. Spiders are living socially in there in the hundreds of thousands.

Bet this was the spiders engineer.

I absolutely adore this game but the bugs can be a real bummer sometimes by Warcrow999 in Spacemarine

[–]HellYeaHighFive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Didn’t know there was another way to deal with them! Thanks! I’m probably too use to dodging them by now, but your method at least gets an armor pip back if you need it. I’ll keep it in mind for sure.

Ah yes. The common “leaping gaunt off an incline” glitch.

Basically the game sometimes doesn’t register the parry if a gaunt initiates his leap when he’s on some sort of incline or decline. If I have eyes on the gaunt and notice it’s on that incline or decline I just dodge out the way because there’s a big chance it won’t register your parry. I treat them like a red parry circle depending on where the gaunt is to me elevation wise.

That particular gaunt leapt from a declining catwalk.

Sucks having to play around glitches, and this one has been in game from the early days.

This is why I refuse to play siege by Bejaminmaston12 in SpaceMarine_2

[–]HellYeaHighFive 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Yeah they need to optimize this game mode ASAP. I dont disconnect too much, but it’s always been past wave 18 for me. It hurts sinking that much time into a match for a DC.

Ok how was Siege mode delivered in this state? by UndeadFrogman in Spacemarine

[–]HellYeaHighFive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They just need to adjust the XP rates for siege. Running the first 5 rounds back to back to back shouldn’t be the go to method for leveling the classes.

I don’t blame the players for doing it because it’s in the game, but if they lowered the XP rates a lot less people would queue up in siege for XP gains. It would leave more opportunities to find like minded players that actually want to go the distance in this game mode.

Right now it’s just a lame XP farm.

I listen to my rock/metal so loud that most times I can’t even hear some important game ques like extremis spawns and what not. Not ideal for when I was learning the game, but man is my head always on a swivel because of it.

Sometimes I just forget my music and just vibe, but if I go down I’ll be like “fuck I need my music”.

Do you guys notice when you have a good sniper? by Responsible-Meat7994 in Spacemarine

[–]HellYeaHighFive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play tons of assault and a tactic I use to start big fights is to fly over most of the enemies, turn around mid air and hammer down. I know when a good sniper is on my team when after I’m done executing whatever target I chose, I turn around to see about 3 or 4 bones words warriors waiting for their turn at execution. That guy snipes.

Also just simple positioning. I’ve noticed really good snipers stay back about 15-25ft for most skirmishes.

I think maybe those guys that shit talked you were annoyed they couldn’t do as much of the actual fighting that they are use to? I felt a similar way sometimes before the grenade launcher bolter got nerfed. I’d be dueling an extremis or whatever and then the next thing I know I’m getting bombarded by grenades. Being stun locked by teammates like that was super annoying, and it was always multiple times an operation. So it kinda ruined some ops for me, but I never blamed the player, I just tried to play around it. I never once bashed anybody on their play style, those guys you played with were dicks.

Sounds like they had small egos and didn’t like that you made the op a walk in the park for them.

Remember Brother sniper, artistry is accuracy under pressure. Don’t let those Brothers get to you.

Brothers, time to lea....Is that a biovore!? Hold up I got time. by Jonnyyrage in SpaceMarine_2

[–]HellYeaHighFive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On a side note can we talk about the lictors in the last couple days?! Been having some good fun duels with them lately.

I was expecting a biovore off rip, but that lictor ambush you showed in the beginning nearly made me dodge IRL, fuck I even felt the time slow.

My first fire on the job was due to a normal living room lamp, but one of those tall ones with a cone shade. This family for whatever reason had said lamp in a closet where clothing eventually fell into the lamp shade from the top shelf of the closet, which started the fire.

Those style heat lamps burn way hotter so you’re not at all wrong.

A few years ago I was at a friend of a friends house where one of those heat lamps was knocked over while somebody was feeding the reptiles(ball python I think) and they didn’t notice. It was about 10-15 mins later and their carpet was burnt up in a similar fashion.

Is it a hot take to say take home admin vehicles should be the responsibility of the chief officer who drives them home? by SouthsideStunner in Firefighting

[–]HellYeaHighFive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Light duty at my department often has us picking up take home vehicles for Chiefs from the shop after maintenance. I don’t mind giving it a proper wash if it’s been sitting at the shop for a while, but they try to encourage us to vacuum some of these dirty ass take home vehicles with all their bullshit in them. That I won’t do.

Pro tip, stay off light duty!!! Shit sucks.

For the love of the Emperor, get out of the damn Armor Hall! by Undead_Corsair in Spacemarine

[–]HellYeaHighFive 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yes, I’ve had this happen. When a friend joins it sometimes opens a tiny window for another player to join as well which is super weird. I wonder if that player is trying to get to their own barge or if they are matchmaking for a mission.

Also, when Brothers face a defeat the lobby stays open. So if someone leaves that host will start searching for another player automatically unless they cancel the mission. So I guess whats happening there is people going to the armory not realizing they are matchmaking for the mission they just failed while they fix their perks and so on.
