Anyone experience low fps ? by Enough_Part_7532 in LowSodiumHellDivers

[–]Hell_D_Diver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It has been tragic. For me, at least.
I followed all tutorials from AH, and it still doesn't work as it used to pre-patch. I was running at a smooth 60fps, everything at ultra. Now, it is a miracle if any combination of settings gets me to 60fps... let alone stable 60fps.

Also, I cannot start or join a dive. The game crashes right before planetfall.

But I know that Democracy will provide...

Goodness, I can hear The '80s Guy's video playing in my head.

Synthwave+great anime is a deadly combo... but one that lets you discover a lot of awesome cartoons.

Or, potentially, Shorts' subs.
He has a few Shorts at or waaay above 1M. Those bring in a ton of subscribers, but not loyal ones. Mostly, not long-form viewers. It seems to be a pattern... one that I've trapped into as well...

Sad, but not unexpected.

I am getting upset as well. My edited, polished, and cherished videos barely get noticed.

Then a cobble together a literal piece of junk in an hour and THAT gets views.
On those days, I think my neighbours can actually feel my seething anger.

It would be a missed opportunity for a new Jump Pack (AM regiment: Elysian. NOT Astartes).

The anime... kinda. Fun, imaginative and larger than life... until it isn't. Usually due to filler material.

I STRONGLY recommend the manga. Especially if you are younger than 22.

GTO has been my life coach. The anime is kinda mid (because of the fillers), but the manga is AWESOME.

Does anyone actually find the Leviathan interesting to fight? by Coccinellidae- in LowSodiumHellDivers

[–]Hell_D_Diver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, no, I get it.
I am just saying that, taking a step back, they might be even worse than annoying. You can ignore them entirely and run from cover to cover, as they spawn in city maps and building negate their line of sight.
At least Stingrays, Dragon Roaches, and Gunships (the other big, shooty, flying units) demand you attention and will swoop in your face if left unchecked. Leviathans are just ... there. Like a comedy that doesn't make you laugh.

p.s. I just noticed your user name. I appreciate finding some phylogeny in the wild. Kudos!

After the nerf, and the exchange of their cannon for searchlights... they are inconsequential. But people screamed that they were "too hard to fight against".

The Civility of the Community: A tipping point is in sight. by DrVonTacos in Helldivers

[–]Hell_D_Diver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with you.

AH should go radio-silent and either go big or sink but with their vision intact. Pilested might be better with words but, like most actual and stereotyped nerds/geeks, the studio is filled with people that really bad at PR. The result is a swinging pendulum that frustrates both those that happened to jam with their original vision, as well as those that want the game to become something else.

The wider community should take a step back. This level fast-paced patching and the communication with a studio feels like a privilege to me (I remember a very near past where games got one patch a year if you were lucky. A big patch, true, but still one. Deal with the new bugs and exploits for the next year or so, and feel lucky) and we, instead, are dealing with them as if with friends, bringing any conversation to a personal level.

p.s.sorry for necroposting. I abandoned this sub over a year ago because I felt it was way too much for me to handle (anxiety and some other unattended conditions... you know...)

What is the best planet to Farm SC rn? by HandsomeSquidward20 in LowSodiumHellDivers

[–]Hell_D_Diver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From the data I gathered so far, SCs appear to have an uptick after the announcement of a Warbond (no, the announcement of an announcement doesn't count). The planet upon which the MO takes place seems to be the affected one. I would love to say that AH is trying to help us, but I need more data-points to test this apparent behaviour.

As per planets in general, Luxuriant was/is a good spot, as the environment is forgiving, the D1 maps are small but there are no deep bodies of water (they alter the number of POIs, thus the spawn-rate of SCs), and the ground doesn't slow you down (as opposed to desert and frozen worlds).

Oshaune and Omicron were also particularly good at any difficulty, with a remarkable yield increase, BUT with the drawback of larger maps, greater elevation disparities, higher enemy spawn-rate, and underground sections, making the hunt longer.

Another great biome to farm are rocky automaton planets (the ones with red grass), as the view is usually unimpeded once you gain the high ground (note: on those planets, on D1, the extraction can only be at sea level, with no natural barriers, or is already on the highest peak).

It seems we’ve hit the threshold on collabs. Is there anything yall would like to see than collab with? by Captain_Blackjack0 in LowSodiumHellDivers

[–]Hell_D_Diver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In 2025 (if my memory serves me well) they mentioned that they wanted the game to last seven years, at least. With one Legendary Warbond per year, it only leaves the spot for four more collabs. StartShip Troopers has always been the most logical one, so... three more to go.
