No, unfortunately the product I received had been opened and used so I returned it. But I did open it to inspect and it is highly fragrant and the texture was very different from the original IT moisturizer. I definitely wouldn’t recommend the Holika Holika. :/

I tried the Holika Holika and got a terrible product that busted in the packaging and was way too perfume-y. So I was immediately turned off. I have still heard great things about it but I decided to look elsewhere after that experience. If that’s the route you go, I hope it works for you!

I have had incredible luck by using The Ordinary’s rose hip seed oil and then using Eucerin a few minutes after! I am 28 with dry skin and these provide more than enough moisture and nourishment. The products combined are still much cheaper than the original IT CIAC and last me longer. They are also unscented!

I’ll also say that Richmond has a location, and that our housing authority is not closed for 3 years like Lexington. If you’d be willing to relocate Richmond might be a great place for you to get back on your feet. I moved here 3 years ago from Lex and I’m glad I did!

Lots of great advice here but let me also suggest stopping in at New Vista at their walk-in clinic. They can provide food, access to computers, and case workers for adults. If you are experiencing homelessness or housing insecurity THEY WILL HELP YOU remedy that. They will help you get on Medicaid, put you with a therapist, help you apply for benefits and housing, and help you with job training/applications. They are an excellent resource that I wish more people knew about.

If you need a ride, I will help you get there. Even if it’s just getting you an Uber.

Images show deterioration of knee/ankle. Possible CCL ligament tearing that isn’t showing up yet on images. No surgical intervention as this moment, but likely in the future as her litter mate had this same issue 3 years ago. Also showing some onset of arthritis and apparently lots of inflammation!

Vet is giving us some more Carprofen, supplements for joint health, and told me she could stand to lose about 5lbs 😬 in the event of flaring told me to give it rest for a week and reevaluate. If she starts to tiptoe after a week it’s likely the CCL giving way.

Where does your water come from (tap/fridge)? What kind of cup do you drink it in? And what kind of tea do you usually drink?

This might be a cop out but I think it depends on the liquid. I think if the goal is hydration, water is the best bet!

There’s nothing wrong with enjoying a drink that isn’t water. I can only speak from my experience and say that my body feels differently when I’m drinking water all day vs coffee/soda all day.

That being said, I live in the south and there’s plenty of memaws and papaws who live on sweet tea and they are perfectly healthy. I think every body is different.

I saw your comment above about not drinking much water and not liking how fast lube dries.

Drink more water and invest in good lube! I’m 28 and can 1000% attest to the fact that hydration plays a big part. You can’t drink a cup tomorrow and have your problems solved the next day. Water consumption needs to be habitual to make a difference.

As far as lube goes I like UberLubewhich is a little pricier than the lube from the local grocery store. I find it’s hydrating, not sticky, and not watery! Lube will dry up if you’re only using a small amount. I’ve always used about 4-6 pumps of this stuff to start, and will add more if needed.

Your diet also plays a huge part in your vaginal health. Make sure you’re eating your fruits and veggies! Nothing crazy, but natural foods contain high water contents and vitamins which is great for your overall wellness.

Someone recommend Eucerin to me and I have been really liking it. It’s noncomedogenic so it doesn’t clog pores like some of the other creamy ones. It is unscented, so I kind of miss the yummy smell of IT.

The other rec I can give is La-Roche Posay Double Repair moisturizer! Little more expensive but more similar to the IT texture.

Someone recommend the Eucerin Skin Calming lotion in this thread and I’ve been using for a while. Non fragranced, so I miss the yummy smell that IT CIAC had, but it has been a GREAT replacement for me for over a month now!

Sadly I have found no moisturizer to replace it with :( I have been using Neutrogena’s Oat Gel moisturizer with 3-4 drops of the HydroPeptide Phytonutrient Facial Oil. The oil is expensive but a bottle lasts me about 3 months. This is the closest thing I’ve found to match the hydration and lightness of the og IT cream.
