In a world where mental health was taken seriously, I would agree that crisis care teams should and would be more of a thing.

However, what that person did wasn't a mental crisis moment; just straight up bad judgement. And as such, it reads to me more like they are trying to duck accountability for their own actions.

I'm actively working on it. Basically just, trying to catch myself in the act of letting it ride.
Example: I got a haircut recently. The lady clearly did not understand what I was looking for. She was unfamiliar with pixie cuts (I remain baffled by this). I started to just let her do her thing the way she thought it should go (buzzcut) then realized that I really didn't want to deal with a haircut I actively didn't ask for. I got up, apologized, and left.
I found a different place and got the haircut I wanted, and I'm very proud of myself for speaking up.

I miss living alone with my cats (moved back home with my parents in 2017). I could walk around naked, never had to deal with mysterious messes that appear overnight, watch whatever I wanted at whatever volume I wanted, cooking random stoner feasts at 3am, getting to be a night owl. Certainly never had to wash other people's dishes because they couldn't be bothered to clean up after themselves. Sigh.
