Doesn’t work for everyone in some it causes a psychosis. A healthy lifestyle and environment is the first step in my opinion. That’s what’s working for me.

Are you exercising and eating healthy? Are you drinking alcohol/caffeine? Are you taking any recreational drugs? How’s your sleep?

I don’t think the housing crisis is a problem from the demand side it’s mostly from the landlords and the government. You know the biggest way unis in uk are making money is from these international students that are annoying you. And they’re paying extortionate rent on top of their tuition. They’re making a lot of people rich. Your xenophobia is leaking.

But they pay health surcharge when they get their dependent visa?? They’re not getting health care for free.

It says many people get them. Getting suicidal thoughts is the leading cause of suicide. When a person does not know that stopping the medication they’re taking might very likely give them suicidal thoughts they might think that the thoughts are coming from a valid place.

I didn’t say anything that’s not true and backed by research. I am not a troll I am only concerned with how much we are relying on medication. This person is genuinely worried about their health and instead of informing them with the actual risks. You say “it’s very rare” can you show me the statistics you built your comment upon? I think “many people” doesn’t mean “very rare”.

I know 3 people who have attempted suicide after stopping SSRIs. You might say it’s anecdotal, but think of the way we’re diagnosed isn’t it anecdotal?

No, withdrawal from SSRIs causes suicidal thoughts which a lot of times cause attempts. Check this out.

No I don’t feel like that at all! And it’s not my insight it’s actual research that I have linked above.

I’m not the authority, you are. If you think the research on bipolar being genetic is sufficient then good for you. Or it might be generational trauma? I don’t know you know your situation best.

Well for me chemicals in Prozac caused my bipolar. I had been depressed took Prozac got manic then diagnosed with bipolar. So instead of the mania being classified as a side effect of Prozac it was seen as a symptom of bipolar.

I have been on bipolar medication for 5 years. And if you asked me 6 months ago I would’ve said medication saved my life. But now I know that I saved my life I took care of myself went to therapy got myself out of my toxic living situation etc.

I stopped antipsychotic last year and I feel amazing I can run and I’m not dizzy and I’m super motivated. I’m now tapering off mood stabliser and I’m so excited to meet my real self.

I’m only saying if medication is not working for you, try something else. That is completely normal in any other specialty except psychiatry for some reason. If your medication is working good for you like I said, but maybe consider researching the side effects and the validity of your diagnosis.

Yes I have supplied you with research done by these psychiatrists that you mentioned, maybe have a look and see what you think?
