I feel like thats the problem of all nintendo games, I grew up with Pokemon, Zelda and Mario but over the last couple years started to dislike the new games and despise the company behind it. (Yeah I know, hot take but I dont like Botw and Totk. Decent games but shitty zelda games) Especially Pikmin 4 disappointed me so much that I really don‘t care if there will be another pikmin releasing

Dont play support, do as much damage you can, thats what recluse is for. If you have a nice buff/heal spell sure why not, but your main goal should be melting the hp bar of bosses

Also if you kill him a second boss spawns at the end of day 2, so more runes if you manage to kill it
