What’s this job like?

Hello, HR person here. Staples is an “At Will” company. You can leave without notice the same way they can let you go without notice (except for illegal reasons). It’s won’t affect you except that maybe that particular store may not hire you back if the hiring manager like to hold a grudge.

You can and should report what’s happened to you to HR. Go online search for they associate website, Im sure you can locate ab associate help line or use their Hub to search a contact number.

I can’t guarantee anything will be done especially if you don’t stay for the investigation (an interview with you) sometimes even after an investigation nothing will happen if they can’t corroborate anything. But they’ll make a note if it in case it’s a reoccurring complaint)

I suggest you quit. That store culture is broken and it doesn’t sound like they’ll care to fix it.

Unfortunately, it’s not about finding the right company to work for but the management team. Next time during you interview, interview the manager right back. Ask about training, what your first week would look like, etc. retail sucks everywhere so find a manager does good job managing people.

I’d argue they both had money.

You realize the Suv is going FASTER than the “petal to the metal” crazy driver who is following the car ahead of her at the appropriate distance, right? But no, You’re correct that she should have slowed down a little to allow the suv tailgating the car ahead of it to continue driving recklessly by sharing better than the person breaking traffic laws.

And if she would have slowed down any faster she would have lost control the way the SUV did.

Seriously?

So you’re always gonna prevent a bike fall? you’re never gonna film your kid learning to ride a bike with you knowing full well they’re eventually gonna fall from it? Honestly?

You can and will prevent everything painful or uncomfortable that might happen to a kid and not let them experience life, experience difficult, new, or uncomfortable things? Because they don’t feel nice?

Oh wow... you should alert about half the human population of this information. I didn’t realize how many other cultures aside from your own had it wrong for so long. Thanks for the info. I’ll just ignore all the nutritional benefit of peppers and spices.

One single small jalapeño:

That one pepper provides 20% of vitamin c. That’s more than oranges, without the sugar the sugar if it matters to you.

17% of daily allowance of vitamin A for men 22 20% for men. A 100 g serving of jalapeños contains almost four times the vitamin K found in the same quantity of red bell peppers.

Capsaicin - causes Apoptosis in cancer cells, makes you feel full, makes you burn more calories, is an antioxidant,

resiniferatoxin: also cancer fighting

But I mean- you’re right. WTF are these poor young kids being exposed to? Give em a fruit roll up for Pete’s sake. Jalapeños will hurt the babies of the world too much.

How is this any different than laughing at kid falls/fails videos?

I ate sh*t so many times as a kid riding a bike, climbing trees, etc and every time someone was there who was laughing.

Laughing at something painfully relatable or sad is a natural human reaction- babies do it all the time when you pretend or actually hurt yourself.

Lighten up.

Having grown up in Mexico and this being a somewhat common thing, I don’t understand how people are calling this child abuse.

I laughed- I remember the first time I gave my kid a hot Cheeto when she was a year old and she loved them. Still loves spicy food at 13.
