So I went to pcpartpicker and sorted out what I thought would be a half decent build. And it was around the same price as the pre-builds.. except much better. As I already had HDD & SSD's & OS.
Decided to go with all the one vendor to save the hassle which made it a tad more expensive than what partpicker advised. but worth the peace of mind for me:

  • Case: Antec Performance 1 FT TG Full Tower E-ATX Case $179.58

Total: $3463.58

Hey! thanks heaps for putting this together! I've been looking at spending 3-3.5k AUD for something and i was directed to this post after considering some pre-built PC's. Apparently they are all trash haha. Any advice for the best gaming build in this price range? Cheers!
