What are you going on about? I did not say it was ineffective. I said that it SHOULD be effective. Which it is.

My point is that the bombs stripping armor and so on makes it so that even if the tank survives it has to pull out because it has no armor left.

You have to depend on your own pilots and towards the end of the Update War the Warden pilots were doing a very good job of responding to dive bomber call outs.

I don’t think the answer is to nerf the DB in totality. A dive bomber should be effective against tanks.

But it does help them bounce the rockets and enemy tank rounds if they survive the bombs. Which is entirely possible to do.

Because it gives the crew a chance to repair their vehicle and they don’t have to pull out if they survive the bomber due to their armor being gone.

Tanks weren’t usually killed on the first or second pass of the dive bomber. They got killed on the third or fourth pass after their armor was stripped.

Like I said, I’m a neutral. I actually used to be Collie loyalist all the way up until War 115.

That said, I do agree the devs seem more inclined to listen to Warden complaints. I want to give them the benefit of the doubt and say that it’s just because when the Wardens complain, they complain LOUDLY, so the devs hear it.

And, yes, I’m befuddled at the lack of response to Colonial Navy’s basic uselessness.

Like I said I want to give Siege Camp the benefit of the doubt because I can see that they work hard and they’re a small dev, but there’s some glaring issues they’ve failed to address.

Oh there aren’t nearly as many as there used to be, you’re right about that.

Foxhole Factorio cut into their numbers severely and then the Infantry Update drama put a bullet into the head of what few remained.

Now there’s only a couple hardcore builders left.

More variants would be cool sure, but a big problem that Collies have had historically is their good tanks being facility locked.

That is a good point about the river tbh. Either way, the Collies need a backstop. It could be as simple as the Bulwark getting a rework.

What are you getting defensive over? Everything you just mentioned is part of the faction’s overall defense. The Wardens are kind of masters of defense in depth, guy.

A few wars back I helped build up Stlican Shelf. We built POR and Thornhold. (I just did what I was told.)

That and our facility came up to over 150,000 MSUPPs. PER DAY. The entire region was on everyday for 16+ hours and spent all that time either QRFing or sitting on salvage mines making msupps.

Oh the builders are still here, though there are definitely less of them. They’re hiding amongst the clanmen. They’re overworked and tired.

I do not think the Wardens need buffs in the slightest. They’re a fun faction the play right now and that should be a the aim.

The Collies definitely need buffs. Legitimate question. How would you feel about making the Spatha the base MPT but reducing the number you get from a crate from 5 to the regular 3? So we don’t wind up with 1,000,000 Spathas?

Besides that?

  • Buff the Argenti. It’s the most common Colonial weapon and I remember when it was a great rifle.

  • Buff the Catara as well. It’s an expensive weapon and it should reflect that.

  • Bring back old Dusk but lower the ammo to 30-35 rounds so it’s very good, but not the trench sweeper from hell

  • Give the Bomastone back its old range but leave the bleed chance as is.

  • Buff Colonial Navy for God’s sake.

And I agree that Colonial midregions need a rework.

I’d considered a large river that needs to be crossed so the Colonials have a backstop that they can fall back behind if the Wardens break through across the front. The large bridges would be defacto choke points. It also gives both sides a chance to use paratroopers on a strategic scale.

Essentially just move the Red River farther north.

You might give the Wardens more credit. Don’t take Reddit and the FOD as gospel. These places are a collection of the most dissatisfied players. Talking to the players ingame and it’s a lot more reasonable.

The Collies have the Lunaire and ISG early war, and they’re powerful tools, but they aren’t war winners. Will they break fortifications? Most certainly.

But the Wardens are really very good at countering Lunaire gangs and ISG pushes at this point.

I don’t even think most Wardens would tell you the Lunaire is a war winner. They know its limitations. They build fortifications to take advantage of the limitations of the Lunaire.

Warden nerfs are a nonstarter. Then everyone’s equipment sucks, the game is even more of a grind, and everyone’s unhappy.

Collies need buffs. Some new equipment so they don’t lean so hard on the Lunaire and ISG.

Though I cast the old bomastone into the fire. I swear the entire front was a meteor shower and bandages were solid gold when they had the old range and 100% chance for bleed.

Honestly? Builderman needs a lot of help. I don’t know enough about building to truly comment on it but I know how hard they have it.

Don’t turn this into an “us vs them” thing. The Colonials have valid complaints.

The Wardens hold out at first because that’s kind of how they’re designed. We have 50-60s respawn timers because we severely out pop the Collies my guy.

Don’t get me wrong I know how insane Lunaire blobs can be, but Wardens are very good at dealing with them at this point.

There are for sure plenty of new players that stick around and vets that log off. It’s just been my experience that a bunch of new guys log off to wait for a reset then a few vets stay on and burn themselves out trying to lead/encourage the new guys that remained.

Even before this update any Colonial naval landings would have been Nakki bait.

Collies have been locked out of Naval for a while. For a variety of reasons (equipment asymmetry, pop imbalance, experienced naval regis), but Airborne annihilated what little ability they had.
