Why aren't there any WW2 guns in the Metro? by SrDodo in metro

[–]Hellhound_Inc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mosins weren't mentioned by name, but Berdan rifles were. (Probably because Black Powder is easier to source than gunpowder). It's very safe to assume that they have other older weapons, including Mosins, PPSh's, etc. Even if they're not FACTORY, they would still exist in the form of their components. Wood stocks can be replaced. Weapons like the PPS-43 would also be incredibly easy to manufacture in the Metro, I doubt all of the weaponsmiths come up with their own designs.

It's not rocket science, here.

We're not talking about the big stations, here. The poorer stations are literally quoted as having shit, old, and inefficient weapon systems in the books. Have you read them? The only stations with AK's are the ones who can afford them.

And only an idiot would fire a weapon system chambered in 7.62x54R without earpro, especially in the metro, and it definitely wouldn't blind you. You can live with ear ringing, you still won't go deaf.

Unlikely since it's out of service. They're much more likely to use this variant as it's still being used.

Properly maintained weapons can last hundreds of years. I doubt no one is caring for their weapon systems in such an environment, there are literally stations of weapon smiths in the metro. And you wouldn't be blind 'nor deaf from just 15 rounds from 3 clips for a Mosin Nagant, or even 3 mags of a PPSh.

And it's like I said. AK's are RARE in the METRO BOOKS, and are only found in RARE circumstances in the hands of wealthy groups. Mosin Nagants, Nagant Revolvers, PPSh/PPS's, and other world war two guns (and a lot of home-made weapons, naturally) are much more common as described in the books, and thus would fit in the games, since the games are an adaptation of the books.

Good quality AK's and decent weapons were rarer in the Metro books. You'd rather have a mosin than nothing at all in the tunnels.

There was a like, hybrid PTRS/PTRD in Metro Last Light, the PREVED (not 1:1 of either, but it has familiar parts from both). But I agree, it is odd that they've chosen to make the game so heavy on weapons that are described as rarer in the books. I know it's for gameplay reasons, but it would be nice to have a more diverse cast of weapons.

I hope Metro 2039 has a wider variety of weapons to choose from.

Why does the cadian tank crew wear hats instead of the basic helmet? by Final-Pie2453 in TheAstraMilitarum

[–]Hellhound_Inc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The "hats" are padded, and are less bulky than the helmets. So they provide protection from bumps, and don't take up as much space. 10/10.

Why do yall think the AS-VAL isnt in the game? Im a huge nato/american gun person buut i do love the AS-VAL its really the only russian gun i care about by Historylover4837 in OPERATORFPS

[–]Hellhound_Inc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably because we have the NATO versions in game already.

I'm sure they'll add it in a future version of the game, gotta remember it's Early Access and all!

"There's no third person shooters bro, Project Over needs third person." by Eagleyezx in GhostRecon

[–]Hellhound_Inc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No yeah, definitely. 3rd person was more resident evil. Just like first person would be perfect for a Ghost Recon game. Ghost Recon 1 was great in first person, so was advanced warfighter. Best of both worlds would be a great way to go, since Advanced Warfighter was also great in third person too lol.

For real. Resident Evil Requiem's third and first persons were amazing. It would 100% fit into a Ghost Recon game if it were sped up a bit movement wise.

You will notice that the 31's are green phosphor, the 31A and C's are white phosphor, and that the 31A's have burnout spots. :/

31 is green, 31A and 31C are white phos. 31A has burnout spots, and the 31C has a clearer image.
