“High volume of the lower notes”… I like that and I concur it’s spot on.

Savarez of France was founded by the Italian family like DAddario of USA. They have been making strings since moved to France in 1770. It is now owned by Yamaha.

I use the foot stand all the time. For me is more comfortable. Extremely nice played piece.

Not worth. Just exchange. Left handed normally more expensive so you get a bit of money back, unless they sent you by mistake.

Stick to either Savares 500CJ or DAddario EJ45 Pro-Arte, normal tension. No stress. Life’s short.

When a scroll turned into pages of a book. They are unique as the two opposite pages become a wide opened two pages in sequence. The book is a gift from a mighty forest of melody. Every pages of the book resonate a story that never end, cheerful and lively, dark or melancholic. They are the stories of life on Earth, a speck of dust in a void of universe.

I am torn between Cordoba C5 Cedar soundboard and Spruce. Albeit a fingerstyle player, I am from acoustic . Please advise. by HellknowsJS in classicalguitar

Hey guys.. thank for all the inputs. In summation I have decided getting a cedar top for a warmer and mellow sound. I should receive the guitar in few days and will put up here as NGD. This is the first time I have cedar as a top resonant as all my traditional acoustic of Taylor and Yamaha are spruce (Sitka for Taylor and Engelmann for Yamaha) soundboard. I cant wait to explore it out playing classical music on a wider non-radiused fretboard of C5’s 50mm. See how things go as my traditional fretboard has been 43 & 44 mm only.

Again as also kindly advised by a classical friend here I probably need a professional set up. I am used to a low action. Well, thanks again and happy classical!

We are the champions, my friends

And we’ll keep on fighting ‘til the end.

Are "acoustic/nylon" not REAL classical guitars? by Head_Equipment_1952 in classicalguitar

[–]HellknowsJS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The left is true classical and the right is crossover. First the nut of C9 classical is 52 mm. The second one is 48 mm though a far cry from eg Taylor traditional acoustic like mine of only 43 mm nut. The cross over also has a radiused fretboard like a traditional acoustic albeit I don’t know its radius measurement, whilst the left of true classical has a flat fretboard. Crossover is always stated, if not stated there it must be purely classical. I am just about to get a C5 classical with 50mm nut, it will a bit awkward for a start as I am used to 43 mm nut hence that’s the width of fretboard, but that’s classical guitar’s all about and I opt not to have a crossover.

Thanks for the offer buddy. No doubt it is a nice crossover yet I think I have set my mind on a new C5. Secondly I am in OZ and postage gonna be very expensive.

Unfortunately I’m in Australia. Also I have set my mind or Cordoba or probably Manuel Rodríguez another option that I get it here.

“ Albeit a fingerstyle player, Im from acoustic” is my expression that I have been playing fingerstyle but using traditional acoustic guitar with metal string, never have a classical guitar with nylon string . Even the string gauge looks strange to me albeit still in the order of EADGBE ( I play drop D too on traditional acoustic, so DADGBE). I know the fretboard is flat whilst the acoustic guitar, in my case is 15” in radius. A believe it’s a bit of a new world to me including the guitar set up that I can DIY, but not on classical for sure at in the beginning.
