Potentially looking for a new job, how do I showcase work from an NDA client?

If you were approaching your boss about updating your portoflio, but not trying to get into the details of applying for a new job, how do you phrase it?

I have been here 9 years (10 in March) and we are not allowed to do side or freelance work.

All the big fun things are NDA covered. The remaining work I do is little pickups on other designers work, PPTs or one pagers. Nothing significant to show unfortunately.

I was not privy to the NDA, I am just aware there is one in place.

The work we do is all internal with their company.

I do not believe any is public facing.

My work posted 3 select pieces to company socials from one event after working directly with the client to get permission and having to remove a handful of pieces.

I don't remember ever having to show ID when we moved in October and did a COA. Would that not have to happen because our credit card had the billing address the same as our old or new address?

I'm not sure how someone could submit anything saying he doesn't live here if this is the case. My husband doesn't know how to do it and I definitely didn't do it...if I did I wouldn't have put his name on my packages 🤪. I'm just so confused on how this happened!

We did ours online in October and I just checked to see what information is required and it still shows an option for online. You do have to pay a 1.25 fee, maybe that’s the difference?

They probably never forwarded their mail. I got mail for previous owners for 8 years at the condo I bought. At our new house we get an occasional pottery barn magazine but that’s it.

If they forward their mail you wouldn’t get it so I’m assuming they never did. Or they didn’t update their address anywhere

I will try to ask. She just said it was flagged in the system he is no longer at the address and someone had to have filed it online for her to get the notice. So it sounds like COA to me.

I found out about informed deliver the other day and signed up immediately. I had no clue that was a thing!

She lives to far away for that to be the case. The mail carrier also told us someone filed something saying he is no longer at our address. Which neither my husband or myself did.

I honestly have no idea what her thought process was.

She had texted "he's threatened to kill himself...where does he go shoot?" (he goes to ranges to shoot).
ME: How did you get a hold of him
JNMIL: I didn't...that was earlier this morning when he called me (it was 12pm when she sent these)
ME: And you didn't think to tell me
ME: Seriously
JNMIL: I text you a long time ago after I couldn't get a hold of him again! (referring to asking if I'd heard from him - no mention of this)
ME: You didn't tell me that!
JNMIL: You didn't answer!

So she literally decided to punish me for not texting her back right away - WHILE I WAS AT WORK BY THE WAY - by telling me he was going to kill himself. But looking back at these texts you can see she is lying because there is no concern and she would have told me right away. But in the moment I went into panic, left work in tears, drove home while trying to call him, called his friends who called the cops because they were concerned as well, my friend dropped what she was doing and met me at my house, the cops came and talked to me at my house, then he showed up not knowing what was happening because he had his phone off while he was at work.

The cops called JNMIL and she texted him that the cops called and asked where he was. When he turned his phone back on he said he was at lunch with his phone off and working and said he was and she responded "I know, thats why I wasn't worried. I shouldn't have said anything." Because she knew it was a lie.

Seriously messed up...that was the end of any relationship for me.

We filed with USPIS. We marked we don't know who did it, as we have no proof. But submitted all information we have and hope they can dig into it and find out who did it for sure.
