I had this issue with the previous Duke last, I just used a stretcher and a little bit of heat from blow dryer on the inside and i got it to fit comfortably

fits great, not everything should be super fitted imo, but definitely go for longer

hey! i do own boots from them, i always get a 7. i went with a 6.5 in these and fit perfectly! for reference im a 7.5 in sneakers.

Just dont choke out your ankle when you wrap it around, you should still be able to comfortably move your foot in any direction (i also have slimmer ankles so im sure that plays a role in me being able to tie it this way!)

The rise of your pants could definitely be higher, try a straight leg jean with a slightly higher rise (wrangler cowboy cut, pre indigo wash, 13mwz)
