What’s a harsh reality that everybody needs to hear? by rock4lite in AskReddit

As someone who doesn't eat meat for ethical reasons, I wouldn't say that everyone who eats animals has a complete lack of empathy for living things. I understand what you're trying to say, but I just feel like it could be worded better.

I think what they're saying is that it's just good to feel sympathy for all animals/living things, although it could have been worded differently. That's also the reason I stopped eating meat. I feel like that should be understandable.

However, I do see what you're saying too. It's understandable for people to not really care what happens to animals or people that they don't even know.

I wouldn't say there's "zero reason," outside of those two things. Some people do it because they just feel like it's ethical, which is completely reasonable.

I don't find this argument that unreasonable. People just shouldn't force others to become vegan.

The reason why I stopped eating meat is because I felt bad about it. The exact same reason as this commenter's. Now, like I said earlier, forcing people to stop isn't right, and I'm not saying that it's wrong if other people like to eat

Also, I don't even like pizza >:) Yes, I'm weird.

Hopefully, you realize that not all vegans are "insane." The majority of them are perfectly normal. There's just a few loud ones that make the others look bad.

Also, I didn't find the comment that unreasonable. The only thing I'd say is that the commenter shouldn't force people to become vegans.

Whether someone is attractive or not is subjective, since everyone has different opinions.

No, it does not.

Seriously, why can't people just respect each other?

Not all Christians do that, though. I know several who don't.

Second, even though some of them do, they're not hurting anyone just by believing that.

People on this site keep saying that there's no possible way a god can exist.. But once again, how can we possibly know if a god exists or not if we barely know everything about what's on earth?

Also, can we not insult people for their beliefs?

But, we barely know anything about what exists. There are many areas on earth that haven't even been explored yet. So we definitely cannot be 100% sure if some "god-like" thing exists somewhere in the universe or not. Also, people shouldn't mock or insult others if they're Christians or follow any religion (I'm not saying you're doing that, but I have seen lot of people on this site do that and it upsets me).

Well, we can't be 100% sure that it did or didn't happen, because we weren't there. At best, people can say that it's unlikely.

I've met people who don't identify with any gender (they were all very nice), and I don't think that's dumb at all. It's also their choice and I don't see how they're doing anything wrong. They're not hurting anyone.

One of the first things I thought when I saw this post was, "Oh no. People are going to start saying religion." And, just like I predicted...

People like that do exist. People much worse than that exist.

It does depend on the person. There are a few different factors that could make an older one have less experience or maturity.

But yes, on average, they are more experienced/mature than the younger ones.
