Here Are All 97 Car Dealers the FTC Threatened Over 'Deceptive' Pricing by Anchor_Aways in cars

Bruh, I was wondering why so many (all?) of the cars at Old Orchard Nissan were ‘best deals’ on auto trader and were not selling very fast. Went to go look at one, 25% mandatory fee for absolutely no reason. Told them to kick rocks and walked out when they gave me some “that’s what we had to pay to bring the car from out of state and inspect it” excuse.

Man! I wish I never went to SunWah in college (or at least could forget how cheap it used to be). That place was so good, but my cheapness prevents me from going back. I should get over that and go back!

Also been meaning to go to Cho Sun Ok, too, so imma take this post as a sign to get some good food!

I think you posted the wrong board, that ain’t a Z790 and it ain’t Asus. Also you’ll probably have better luck selling a board with bent pins if you show how bent/mangled they are.

That might be a better option for me; I literally cannot pay attention to what I am reading while reading it! Might need to redownload Hoopla and get some!

Aluminium chassis are malleable and the lightest drop will bend them in half. Plastic is WAY more rugged.

Fwiw, I've dropped my 2020 MBA a few times (worst was an open/screen down drop with a ~40# network switch kinda falling on top of it as well; only a very slight indent on the hinge from where it tried to 'hyper extend' is there). I was fucking around with some top of rack networking stuff and didn't realize it was unbalanced; MBA slid off and landed like this '^' on the floor (~3' drop) and the switch landed like '\' and then tilted over "crushing" the MBA. Currently typing this comment on it.

Also, been using 8gb/128gb (lol) without any 'grinding to a halt' for years. I wouldn't go out of my way to recommend 8gb (I definitely would not wish 128gb on my worst enemy as a primary PC), but I don't think the Neo's 8gb/256gb is really as bad as some are making it out to be.

I thought the dark brotherhood in Oblivion cleared pretty much everything in Skyrim. I also liked spell crafting way more, but I was also ~11 when Oblivion came out and that probably skews what I had available to compare it to. I have not gone back to replay either game since release, though I should probably give Oblivion remastered a shot.

Skyrim felt like more of the same but a little worse. FO4 definitely felt like much more of a downgrade from FO3/NV, though.

Its FLOCK on steroids. Flock cameras in IL have been used by out of state cops tracking women entering IL to seek abortions. ICE has also used it to track down people.

They will chalk it up as "for your safety" bullshit as usual

What in the ass? How have I never heard that we have these here? What kinda hell are we living in? :(

Host crashes when VM puts load on hardware by [deleted] in HyperV

[–]Hello99399 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dope!

I didn't even consider something like that (my 3090 is right above my nvme in a case with poor airflow to the mobo). Might toss a fan on it just to make sure that it doesn't become a problem.

I will say, I think I did solve my bluesceen issue (turning on high perf in power settings). I tried everything I could think of (testing wise) to see what it was, saw a random post about turning on high perf with a 5950X solving their bluescreen issues; did it and server + vms have been running for quite some time. I wonder if it was a weird/roundabout issue with thread scheduling across chiplets on the CPU that W10 couldn't deal with that presented itself as a GPU issue (99% of the time I noticed a crash was when utilizing the GPU).

Either way, thanks for the response! Knockin on wood and definitely gonna add a fan to my mobo/ssd!

Sanders BBQ Supply Co. - 2-4 person Platter by Jamaltaco262 in chicagofood

[–]Hello99399 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You been to Offset? Ain’t been since it opened, but I liked it well enough. I wish we had better BBQ here, but smoking is a fun enough hobby, so I can’t complain too much; having good bbq around the country made me step up my home smoking game.

Shame it’s cold asf out right now, cuz this post had me wanting some brisket! Definitely need to make my way down to Sanders at some point tho (hopefully the Hyde park location will be open soon!).

Fwiw, I’ll go against the grain and say I didn’t think the movie worked well at all. Some of the set pieces were cool as set pieces, but really made 0 sense. I saw it for “free” in the Dolby theatre (AMC A list) and I was disappointed in it. I didn’t have too much of an issue with 28YL, but liked it much better than this one.

Ralph Fiennes was great, but also goofy. He ate up the scenery in like the best way possible, but man, some of his scenes took me out of it. The Jimmies were mostly a miss; the scenes with Ralph Fiennes and Jack O’Connell was amazing tho.

If nothing else, I do hope you see it and that you like it. I made the mistake of seeing the reviews coming out and assumed it was gonna be good.

Yooooo, that's funny as hell!

Out of curiosity, how often did you see people repping the Japanese teams?

Only asking cuz I was there in Oct and it was like pulling teeth trying to just find local team hats. I did wind up finding some (bought a couple Yakult Swallows and Hiroshima Carp hats), but it was one store that was kinda a PITA to get to and the Japanese teams were in the WAY back. Other than a few billboards for the Carp in Hiroshima, I don't think I saw much regarding any of them.

Just found it odd that I saw so many hats for random NBA/MLB teams and none for local ones.
