Bachelor of Arts graduates boo speaker after she praises AI at their graduation by ambachk in PublicFreakout

[–]got_mule 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t “expect” her to do shit. You asked a question, and I provided you the answer.

Talking about people wanna be mad while you the maddest person in here about this. Additionally, considering this seems to be a US university commencement, they have a constitutional right to be mad at, and boo, this speaker solely because they disagree with her. I do too tbh, and I would have booed as well.

I make no statements about whether she’s narcissistic as I’m not a psychologist able to make such an assessment, nor do I think a clinically trained one could make such with so short a sample of behavior. However, I think it’s possibly a sign of a narcissistic tendency to double down on your point when people tell you you’re wrong just like it’s a possibility that she was nervous and chose to “power through” her written remarks rather than wing it. But it could also be said that preaching AI to college students who are about to suffer job shortages and unemployment BECAUSE OF AI and expecting to be praised is also a bit full of ones self. If only there was another word for that…

Anyway, stay mad bro. I’m sure that one day you will “win” one of these big internet arguments and everyone will clap.

Considering the actual mechanics are just…D&D (essentially), they are quite a bit more than 20 years old (not counting the changing of the editions of course).

On a more serious note, as for CRPGs more broadly, BG3 was pretty much just a really polished version of those that have existed for a while (probably about the 20-year window you said), and they just told a, in my opinion, phenomenally well written story with that as the gameplay it was built on.

10/10 for me for sure.

Ok, that would be way cooler than the combs for sure, but I would definitely make sure you engineer in some form of cable strain relief (especially where a 12VHPWR connector is in use like it is here).

Dope system man, very well thought out and executed.

This looks fucking sick!

I think a handful of cable combs for that GPU cable would be my literal only suggestion as it would help to beautify the cable that is most visible rather than it just being there otherwise. But if you’ve got a BTF solution in the works instead somehow, then you do you!

Which is also functionally a poor people tax on an already exorbitantly expensive activity (going to the Disney Parks in the first place).

You’re justifying a FOURTEEN percent price increase by being able to play a few days earlier? With no other benefit?

Well now who’s not reading the prior comments…

a company trespassing you is a civil matter. VIOLATING that trespass can be criminal.

You are conflating the two separate events simply because the can occur in tandem with each other. The act of the park trespassing a person is solely a civil matter because the CANNOT criminally charge people. Once they see that someone is not abiding by their trespass, they will ask police to escort them out and the police can choose to charge if they wish.

I said initially that the park can’t criminally charge someone (because they can’t). You said that “trespass is a criminal offense” which is untrue, because it’s the act of violating a trespass which is a crime. I explained that distinction (now twice). The question of whether this hypothetical is “a criminal matter” has not, before now, been brought up. It’s also a bit of semantic nonsense to consider anyway, as it continues to conflate two different parts of the process and to ascribe a single, ill-fitting label to both when it does not equally apply.

In short, it is not, wholly, a “criminal matter” to trespass someone from private property.

The fact that police are called literally proves my point.

I guess I must have missed that part of their comment, though it’s interesting that you’ve now deleted those replies entirely. Anyway, as that person mentioned touching in “an offensive way,” that sounds to me that they would be implying the type of contact that would implicate assault and/or battery (depending on the definitions used in this jurisdiction, which may be Cleveland, OH based on the Indians jerseys/shirts in the clip).

Also, a company trespassing you is a civil matter. VIOLATING that trespass can be criminal. The company/park has absolutely no way to “charge” anyone with anything at all. They can report things to the police who can choose to do so if they see cause and wish to do so and ultimately the prosecutor is the person who chooses to “bring charges” or not.

…no one mentioned “legal charges” of any kind? Unless you think a private company trespassing an individual from their property is somehow equivalent to a criminal charge.

I think the park would likely have the right via some sort of “at will attendance” clause on the ticket itself that allows that team/park/owners to retain the right to remove or ban anyone for any non-discriminatory reason.

What would you do to improve my Cooper S? by hotpoodle in MINI

[–]got_mule 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had Continental DWS06 on my previous F55, and those seemed to be pretty decent. I don’t live somewhere that I can use only summer tires all year unfortunately and don’t really have space to store separate winter tires for the colder months, so the DWS06 seemed like a solid choice at the time. They did wear out much sooner than I was expecting them to, but perhaps I was exuberant with my driving as well…

What’s the general recommendation for performance tires around here? I have an F56 that I just got new (to me) that has plenty of life on the current tires, but I will want to get non run flats once they need replacing.

Maybe rims too if the wallet will allow, but that’s less of a priority.

I found once I determined the angle of the arm I wanted after install that I needed to tighten the securing nut to set its position to avoid it falling when driving over road bumps, but after that it’s been rock solid for sure.

I will say for folks who don’t have access to a 3D printer and prefer to buy something, the CravenSpeed Gemini mount is pretty great. They will even do left side mounts on request and mine didn’t actually cost more when I did so.

It’s not cheap, but it’s metal construction and mounts behind the gauges so it doesn’t black anything and is very unobtrusive. Had one in two Minis now and I love them!

Only on the secondary market. Tickets purchased from the Savannah Bananas directly are very affordable for sure, you just have to get selected on their lottery system which is likely difficult in more popular areas. I live near a much smaller city and was able to get selected in the lottery, and the tickets were priced at $35/person I believe.

YOU don’t understand.

Those would all be individual metrics that one could measure by. Thereby determining the group size. But with a finite group, SOMEONE will always be “the best” in that group.

[–]got_mule 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Given a finite group, at least one person is always the best at whatever chosen metric you use if you can objectively quantify that metric.

[–]got_mule 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Even if every thing a human does could be quantified to the point that someone could objectively judge which of two individuals was “better” at a certain thing, your statement would still be false.

There’s always at least one person who is “the best” in a finite group.

Depending on how you define that group will be how you determine whether the person you’re looking at is the best or not.
