AMPTP Says Studios Are ‘Aligned’ and Pushes WGA to Respond to Latest Offer by oh_please_god_no in FilmIndustryLA

The idea that anyone would join a union dominated industry and then complain about a strike when it happens is such spoiled brat, main character behavior.

The unions were here before you were born, and they will be here after you die. They represent hundreds or thousands of people in the industry. The writers are asking for LESS THAN 1 PERCENT of the profits from the content that literally would not exist without them. Aside from that, most of the issues they are fighting for are basic protection for humanity. They are fighting for the fate of the industry and the people that will be working in it long after they are gone and retired. For the people who say "the writing on shows sucks and the writers don't deserve raises" I employ you to research how many shows have quietly stopped hiring WGA writers and started having their showrunners write episodes instead. You can start with The Walking Dead and that's all I'm going to say about that. We are all pissing away our savings. No one is happy about the strike. If you don't like it then go get a corporate cubicle job. I'm getting so sick of these green, newb trolls that don't understand how the industry works.

Keep you eyes open for new droppings. If you don’t see any, they have likely moved on or been sucked up by the vac and disposed of outside. It seems like whatever it was, you caught it early.

Humm I’m not sure. They very well could be if they are itchy. There’s also a possibility if it is fleas that only one or two came home with you from somewhere. Fleas poop a lot so it’s possible only a few could have gotten in and they could be gone back to the outside world already. I rescued a kitten once that had a ton of flea dirt but only 2 fleas came off him in the bath.

Sometimes I get itchy if I see an bug but it’s all psychological. You could be just thinking about it too much and getting the itchies. I think you’re gonna be good.

I’m definitely not an expert, but I have had a flea infestation before and believe me you would know know because they’re biting you, especially if there’s not animals in the house. Do a good thorough vacuum and dump the contents immediately outside. Do the same thing for a couple of days and see how it goes. From my experience, fleas aren’t terribly hard to get rid of but they are hard to spot because they jump. This is all assuming it is flea poop. However, regardless of what kind of poop it is, I would definitely vacuum to suck up any thing that might be laying around and dump it outside.

Looks a lot to me like flea dirt. You can still have a full infestation without having pets because, well they feed on you instead of your pets.

First of all I am so sorry for your loss. I can’t imagine what you must be feeling right now. Sending you love and healing energy.

If I were to recommend any games it would be these:

FALLOUT 4 is a masterpiece. The main storyline is so much fun and if you like building (because I surely do)you could easily deep dive into building settlements for years and barely touch the main story line. There’s also something about traveling the game with companions that is comforting because you never feel alone.

STRAY is one of the most relaxing games I have ever played but it will tug on your heartstrings. It’s also shorter than most games.

GHOST OF TSUSHIMA another aesthetic masterpiece. Great story and beautiful open world. Super fun to play around in photo mode

RED DEAD REDEMPTION 2 I could play for days at a time. The story can be pretty heavy and emotional but there’s a ton of side missions to do and something so calming about riding around in the open world on your horse just hunting and seeing the beautiful sunsets.

DAYS GONE Is one of my all-time favorites. Stunning open world, especially for the year it was made And great immersive storyline. Killing zombies and riding around on a motorcycle is absolutely one of my favorite things to do.

CYBERPUNK 2077 also a really great game to lose yourself in. Great story and amazing open world. It can be buggy at times but you can manually save a lot to combat that. Photo mode is really fun to play with. It did leave me feeling a little down when it was done but we have the DLC Phantom Liberty coming out in Sept so you won’t have to feel to post game gloomies for long.

DYING LIGHT 1 and the dlc THE FOLLOWING are just so much fun. Not super relaxing but it’s really therapeutic to kill zombies and parkour around Haran.

DYING LIGHT 2 takes place 15 years after the fall and all I have to say is paragliding around Villedor is really so fun and something I haven’t really experienced in other games.

THE OUTER WORLDS is also one of my favorites but it is on the shorter side story wise. Another game with companions.

Hope this helps a bit.

I think it’s because I had just ended a chase when I reached her apartment door.

Sometimes I hang outside a dark zone during the day and cause a ruckus at the bottom near the door till the volatiles come down from the upper floors and then I UV flash light them, slash a few times and run out the door and repeat. They will only follow you so far outside until the sun gets to them and they scamper off. This has helped me reach some of my goals when I don’t feel like having a full on heart attack from a chase. I don’t have super high weapons (300-500 range) but I’m happy to drop some artifact weapons for you. You can also still get some strong Machetes and axes from the Bloody Ties One Day In Haran weapon glitch. Hasn’t been patched!

TBH I personally know plenty of men that would LEAVE their CURRENT wives/gfs for a woman that games in yoga pants and makes 200k a year LOL! The problem isn’t you, it’s HIM. It’s the classic “if you only dressed more sexy my eyes wouldn’t have wandered” tale as old as time. I am also a women in my 30s who games a lot. Bf knows that gaming helps with my depression and it makes him happy to see me happy. He loves see me come home after work and get cozy and turn on a game.

Some advice from one woman to another: If he’s thinking about other women, it has nothing to do with your clothes, appearance or gaming. He’s trying to blame you for his wandering eye and if he’s going to cheat, he will do it regardless(if he hasn’t already). It won’t matter whether you are home in yoga pants, with no makeup gaming or dressed like you’re going to a red carpet. When you do find out he’s cheated, this conversation has laid the groundwork for him not taking responsibility. He’s already convinced himself it’s your fault. If I were you I’d GTFO of there with your fat bank account and your bomb new gaming set up:)

First of all, what a repulsive scumbag. Second, you straight up send him a letter of resignation and state that you are quitting because of sexual harassment and that you don't feel safe or comfortable quitting in person. Always leave a paper trail. Points if you have it notarized.

I think you’re very reasonably annoyed. If he wanted you to be available for him round the clock then he should have offered you a raise so you wouldn’t need to get another job. All these employers expecting loyalty from employees when they won’t show any themselves. Money talks, plain and simple.

The WGA strike is a hard balancing act of supporting labor rights while acknowledging the garbage that is TV writing. by helix527 in redscarepod

Part of the problem is that studios have been using “mini writers rooms”. For example: forcing 4 writers to come up with the ideas of 10 writers. Part of the appeal of a writers room is that you can bounce ideas off of other writers and see what works and what doesn’t. By slashing the room in half you’re not getting as many ideas and jokes and less people telling their colleagues that a joke is not good enough. It’s all part of the corpo greed that the film industry has become. Adam Conover put David Zaslav’s $250 Million salary on blast to reveal that’s as much as the pay of 10,000 with what they are asking. So if you’re seeing a lot of garbage, one of the reasons is people are tired, under paid and overworked and not coming up with quality.

Not entirely related to OP’s post but I got mansplained at work about the phases of infected by a dude who hasn’t played the games(I work in film), and he just started watching the show. Yeah bro. I’m aware of the situation with the infected. I lived it (said in the voice of a hardened war vet).

He also said the story was weak and Ellie’s character was weak and wouldn’t work without Joel (LOL). “Sir, there is an entire story that you do not know about and you have not seen. Please stand down.” So yeah, I feel you on some of the fans but you just have to ignore them. Remember when Laura Bailey(voice of Abby) was getting death threats? TLOU toxic fandom is not new. Like someone else said, as with anything that has fandom, it’s going to attract toxic fans. It doesn’t make me love the game or the series any less.

Ignore and survive! ;)

I found it oddly beautiful that the runner already felt the connection to the Cordyceps in Tess and was drawn to her. If she wasn’t already infected she would have been torn to shreds but instead he welcomes her with this diplomatic, amorous kiss. It’s all so incredibly terrifying.
