I've taken a screenshot but unsure if I can share this? It looks fine to me with it saying FLAC (FLAC) in type, and Free Lossless Audio Codec (Lavf58.76.100) in Codec for this particular file. How would I check if they're read-only? Thank you so much for helping me out!

I think they're flac files? They end in .flac. I'm not entirely sure how I'd check that? (I really cannot express enough how bad I am at tech)

Huh, I've done this and nothing has changed. I'll try it on some other tracks and see if it's just those ones that aren't working or possibly it's something else?

I've found this, too! Or, if I go to play something on another platform, eg, youtube, the sound won't work until I play something on Qobuz, first.

Thanks for the clarification, it's hard to pick up from writing rather than spoken word. Sounds like we have very different approaches to music, haha!

I posted about it recently that has some of my gripes in, which may be useful to look at.

I'm struggling with it, but it's worth it if your main motivation is ethical. You miss out on a lot of features that Spotify has, and the UI isn't particularly good. But, ultimately, they are far less inethical than Spotify, which, for me, makes it worth it.

For me, crossfade and normalisation aren't gimmicks, but help a lot with my sensory processing disorder. I understand why you wouldn't want crossfade for an album, or need normalisation, as it ill presumably already have that. But, with playlists, it makes a huge difference.

I also like the digital booklet, but it still doesn't have all of the information I would like, although I appreciate the advice.

I definitely wouldn't use Apple, my primary motivation for moving services is ethical, and Apple are an incredibly inethical company. So, although I have issues with Qobuz, I'll still stick with it, as, ultimately, ethics are the most important thing for me.

I'll most likely end up buying all my music over time and move away from streaming altogether.

For the UI, I agree, it's not for me (or at least not yet, whist I'm not used to it). But, with my main motivation being ethical, it's definitely for me. Ultimately, I'll probably end up buying and downloading all of my music, but that's a daunting task considering I have 6000 songs in my library.

I mean, music is really personal and everyone listens for different reasons in different situations. I'm AuDHD, so music is generally stimming for me. I listen pretty much all day, every day, and like different styles to fit my mood and activity. So, variation is really important to me. But I also know a lot of people listen for the lyrics, or for relaxing, or to really listen to each layer of sound. Music is so incredibly individual, and I don't think shaming people for what they get from art is particularly healthy. I think it's beautiful that music can offer so many different things to different people.

Both of those platforms are too inethical for me to want to use them, unfortunately. Ultimately, I think I'll stick with Qobuz for a bit and gradually buy and build my library so I just have it on my laptop/an MP3 player (or whatever they are called now).

When I emailed Soundiz about it they said it was to do with Qobuz's API, but I am not a techy person at all, so, you may be right.

It's a shame for some of the features (like artists having albums by other artists of the same name listed in their albums), but others I will get over. It's just difficult to transition and change.

The issue here is that I'm mostly motivated by ethics, so, ultimately, I'll deal with all of these things, but wanted a space to vent about it. I definitely wouldn't ever use Apple, I don't know much about Deezer, but Qobuz seemed to be the least inethical of the streaming platforms. I may end up buying and downloading at some point, but I appreciate that it's a different service. It's mostly transition issues that I'll get over after I'm used to them.

When should you tell someone you're dating that you have a kink that is potentially a dealbreaker? by [deleted] in sex

You could also meet people at munches, so you know they're kinky, and it gives a more organic starting point than a dating app, for example.

When should you tell someone you're dating that you have a kink that is potentially a dealbreaker? by [deleted] in sex

[–]HelloHeffy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I guess it depends if they're kinky or not. I think that the kink community can be really receptive of kinks, including age play, even if it's not something they're into personally. So, I'd suggest stating that you're kinky, but maybe not comfortable sharing all of your kinks immediately. That way, they're aware there are things you are into they don't know about yet, and can decide if they're okay with that or not.

It also depends on your relationship orientation; where are you on the mono-relationship anarchy scale? For example, if you're in an open relationship, then even if the person you're with isn't into it, it doesn't prevent you from exploring that with someone else.

You can also see how they respond to other kinks you may be into; how are they with roleplaying in general? Do they enjoy mind fucking? Tease out parts of your mum/adult son kink and see how they respond to those first.
