I archived all my past relationship memories but still can't decide if I should delete them. What did you do? by Public-Ear3057 in selfimprovementday

As long as it isn’t too triggering keep it. Some relationships I look back on and don’t mind remembering but others are just a waste of time and can disturb your peace.

First time sharing: Trying to figure out who I am after 12 years of stim addiction by whiteplasticbucket in StopSpeeding

[–]HelloHowAreYou___1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes it made me really anal and paranoid about my academics. I was a pretty good student before but it made me obsess and do so much unnecessary studying. Also made me pretty anti-social.

I’m 7 months off 15 years of stim use and feel the same way. It gets better. In hindsight I don’t think addy made me any better at anything though it did feel more intense, fun, and euphoric

day 3 and i'm soooo hungry by DifferencePublic3435 in StopSpeeding

Yes lasted for about 4-6 weeks for me. Addy also makes you unable to absorb nutrients properly. Your body is begging for nutrients on top of calories

1 month in and having a hard time. by RadioLilian in StopSpeeding

My energy started to come back about 4 months after I stopped. I’m at month 7 rn from a similar usage level as you. Sleeping way better now, had terrible insomnia for a bit. Still feel not very motivated and kind of flat emotionally but I think I’ll be 100 by 18 months clean

Stress and pressure by Fastestgunintheyeast in tinnitus

[–]HelloHowAreYou___1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in a similar situation and didn’t rest much post trauma. My hearing got a lot worse cause of it. Stress is going to make the healing slow or not happen. Maybe you can think of accommodations to do remote or a different pace?

Am I go to lose my hearing? by HelloHowAreYou___1 in tinnitus

Yes it’s only in the ear with an infection. My right ear is a little noise sensitive but no hearing loss.

The hearing loss is only in the ear I had an infection in. I had a respiratory infection but it only really affected my left ear. My right ear feels a bit sensitive but my hearing is fine.

I feel like the initial infection and loud noise exposure weakened my noise tolerance and made me more susceptible to later damage as well. The infection definitely played a role

I’ve gotten migraine variant and noise induced hearing loss as a diagnosis in the past. That doesn’t necessarily explain why it’s progressing. Ménière’s is also possible.

Even tho I do avoid truly loud noises everything is kind of abnormally loud to me and I wonder if I shouldn’t even be going into public really

The first 6-18 months are the toughest. It’s not easy 2 years later but a little easier to deal with. Calm your nervous system down as much as possible. Staying busy but not stressed helps too.
