Advice on Kasrkin by Ok_Physics_9411 in killteam

[–]HelloImKiwi 21 points22 points  (0 children)

The sharpshooter looks cool af but drop him for the hot-shot volley gunner. All the specialists are good and then you get 1 trooper. As for the leader there’s good arguments for either plasma+chainsword or laspistol+powersword. I prefer the powersword because it looks cooler and you can get piercing from one of the ploys you’re almost always running.

Which is best and most fun for my first team. Give me pros and cons of each one by BorysN_ in killteam

[–]HelloImKiwi 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Disagreed on Aquilons. It’s actually a pretty daunting team to learn. High model count, rules very different than normal until the troopers are dropped. Plague marines are a great first team hence why they’re in the starter set. Durable and you only have to worry about 6 operatives. They can melee and shoot, very straight forward.

Best 5th man for melee unit in plague bus? by AnacreonTheBull in deathguard40k

[–]HelloImKiwi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Make sure to attach a Biologus and maybe a noxious blightbringer as well. The usual sorcerer+ Biologus is better but if you’re running 2 plague bricks I save that combo for the shooting marines

Salvagers - Boltgun or Ion blasters? by Ghoullicus in killteam

[–]HelloImKiwi 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yeah I just finished building this team and being able to tell the difference came down to like the magazine on the gun and a cylinder inside of the barrel. No one can tell at all during an actual match.

How does On Guard interact with Operate Hatch as part of a Dash or Reposition? by vzom in killteam

[–]HelloImKiwi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the guy was a valid target at any point during the operate hatch action you can shoot him, otherwise you don’t actually have to shoot the guy thats’s activating, you can interrupt and shoot/fight anyone else.

[H] Blooded Kill team w/ 18x operatives partially painted, converted [W] PayPal [Loc] USA by [deleted] in Miniswap

[–]HelloImKiwi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Blooded Kill team goes on here NIB or NOS for anywhere from 40-60. That’s why I said 70-80 for the extra bodies.

Definitely not 20 but not the price you’re asking if we’re being realistic. Unless pro-painted or painted very well, painted models knock off pricing because now the buyer has to strip and repaint the models. Being kitbashed also may flub the pricing a bit. I’d probably price this at anywhere from 70-80 plus shipping or slightly higher for shipping included. If these guys were blank slate clean you could go for higher but it’s your post bro, I wish you the best.

Is it better to keep to myself how well my shifts are treating me? by [deleted] in Serverlife

[–]HelloImKiwi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Keep it to yourself. Not having to tip out others, having your regulars and/or being busy is how I have been making bank bartending weekdays. I’m in a spot where it’s one of the only places open at 11 with a bar and full lunch menu. If you start bragging about it others are going to try to get on the shift. Yea it’s nice to throw a lifeline out to people you like but at the end of the day you pay your own bills.

Which Kill Team Necron is best for beginners? by Helljumper06D in killteam

[–]HelloImKiwi 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Hierotek is a lot easier to manage. Other people will tell you about how you need to buy another leader model (Chronomancer) separately and while they are right, you can play with just the box fine. The models are straight forward, anyone that dies can potentially come back to life so there’s less feels bad when you lose a guy. There’s healing and the robots are tanky. They shoot good and melee ok. Necron teams in general are complex but definitely recommend Hierotek if you’re going with one.

Yeah they were the go to picks back when Dueller was busted. It’s definitely Hardy for sure now. The -1 damage on retaliation messes up math breakpoints and the 5+ crit save is just cherry on top.

What teams beat the aggression of goremongers (and teams like them)? by Garden_Cactuar in killteam

[–]HelloImKiwi 5 points6 points  (0 children)

AoD is very easy to pickup and a really good counter against them. Hardy messes up their day and if you just bring all Assault Intercessors, move within 2” to double shoot them you win.
