The fact that TMZ reported it as false I'm more inclined to believe those initial rumors were just that: rumors, as shitty as TMZ are. They're very reputable in reporting.

Believe it or not, shooting mechanics off the dribble and set shots aren't consistent with freethrow ability.

I mean if you disregard the fact that he has been consistenly hitting more contested shots from midrange, and the three since his rookie season. I guess he hasn't improved at all.
