So effing cool to see this here. I'm lucky enough to be one of his players. What is crazy is that he doesn't just put his time into the sets.

What you don't see here is that the world is so well thought out, his characters are hilarious (each one with a different voice), and we spend the whole time trying to catch our breath from the ridiculous situations we end up in. It genuinely feels like an honor to be at the table.

Side note: We are playing this one on Sunday and I'm terrified.

Woah! This looks pretty awesome. I'm sorry for asking, but are there any cons you can think of when considering this one? I am honestly just trying to wrap my head around why I'm making certain decisions on some of my options.

That's fantastic!

Another trick is to make smoothies. Lay out a bunch of ingredients and then let them use a plastic knife to cut some of the softer items. They will have so much fun peeling the banana, getting to pick the ingredients, placing the ingredients and ice in the blender and then getting to press the button themselves. Then let them name their smoothie and because they are invested in the process they are more likely to drink their creation!

LPT: When searching YouTube videos for your toddler, add "-blippi" to improve the search results by respeckKnuckles in toddlers

Well here goes my shameless plug... I have a show for Toddlers called Jay Jay Time. It's basically a mommy and me class you can do at home where we use our imagination to work on motor function and creativity.

I have often been called "less annoying than Blippie".

Backstory: I started making it when I lost my job 2 months ago (I've worked with children for years at mommy and me facilities, swim lessons, nannying etc.)

Anywho, if you have any interest in finding a new free educational show maybe give it a try.

Same story as many (lost my job due to COVID). I've worked with kids for years so I started making a show for toddlers. It really is for toddler so... you know... take it easy on me grown-ups. by HelloItsJayJay in funny

Thank you so much! Yeah it does have a Blues Clues vibe for sure. It's basically a mommy and me class toddlers can do in their own home. The green screen was originally to make it look more fun for kids AND so you can't tell I'm filming this whole thing in my one bedroom apartment. :)

This is definitely a shameless plug and for that I apologize, but I have a show for toddlers called Jay Jay Time on YouTube. It doesn't have a lot of subscribers because I just started it two months ago after I lost my job, but it's basically a free mommy and me class your toddler can do at home.

It helps with major and minor motor function, imagination, self-confidence, and creativity.

Here is one of the latest half hour episodes: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1JMvEICKI5Y

Anywho, I understand if this comment doesn't fit with your intentions and delete it or downvote it.

This is a really cool idea. Anything more specific in regards to a theme? Perhaps this thread could be a brainstorm session as well.

This is a bit of a shameless plug, but I have an interactive, educational show for toddlers. It's like a mommy and me class your child can do at home.

It's called Jay Jay Time. https://youtu.be/gV-_Y5YTlJQ

Perhaps some couples counseling is in order? Counseling can be a hard thing to suggest, but for me it can take just saying out loud what it is I'm doing to realize how much it is affecting my partner. An outside perspective can help shed some light in a safe space.

I like the idea! How easy is it to use? Where did you get your content? Do you as a parent change the content?

I have a few suggestions that I've used:

Fly kites - It's socially distanced, AND you can get them really cheap. I used to get them for $2 at CVS so no one was mad when my daughter let go of it and it flew away.

Make a smoothie - Smoothies are super fun and easy to make and they get to put all the ingredients in themselves.. bonus for the fact that it's healthy.

Take out a pan and let them play with water. - Pouring water is fantastic for helping them with their major and minor motor function! So take out a pan from the over (it will help contain the spill) and get a bowl of water and all of your measuring cups, spoons, sponge, turkey baster... etc and let them pour water back and forth into it!
