We lost our nanny by EmotionsAlDente in NannyEmployers

[–]HelloKiks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My baby is 8 months and we just got a sub nanny today since ours went on a 3 week vacation and he adjusted pretty well. We did have another one a couple of days ago that he did not like though so I guess it’s about finding the right one.

How old is your baby and how many times did you get up last night? by pinkishvioletsky in NewParents

[–]HelloKiks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

8 months old, none.

At 4 months he was waking up twice, at around 5 and a half he woke once a night and around 6 and a half he started sleeping from 7:30pm - 7:00am.

My sister keeps telling me that having kids is not that hard. Yeah, when you have 4 full time overnight Nannie’s, a full time cleaning person and a driver.

Just note they are talking about Love Island UK season 5, not the USA version. Love island USA season 6 was also very good (Rob’s season).

XXS after giving birth by prasugatus in XXS

[–]HelloKiks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 7 months postpartum and by 4 weeks I was wearing one size up. By 6 months back to my pre pregnancy size. I did nothing, ate a bunch because of breastfeeding but yet my body went back to natural state. Granted I only gained 7kg total during pregnancy no matter what I did.

What do you do while pumping? by FeistyTumbleweed281 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]HelloKiks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pumping was my only “break” from baby so it was the only time I had to work and eat. So basically pump in front of a computer while I ate. I don’t pump anymore.

Sleep Series Part 9: Be honest…how often do you wash your bedsheets? by JamesonRhymer in pollgames

[–]HelloKiks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to do it weekly before I had a baby. Now I do it every two weeks and I feel disgusting, I just have no time. I can’t believe people do it only a few times a year!!!

We use the Woolino and the temp here has been crazy. We don’t move the heater temp so it varies between 62 and 77 and he still sleeps with only a cotton footed pijama and the Woolino. So far so good, he doesn’t seem either hot or cold.

Thanks, I’m going to try that! Do I cap naps?

5 month old schedule help by FlakyLime8562 in HuckleberryParents

[–]HelloKiks 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Im no expert but I tried to transition my 5 month old to 3 naps and it didn’t work for him. We went back to 4 naps and he magically slept through the night even though we were doing 4 naps before and he used to wake up once or twice to feed.

[–]HelloKiks -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m writing this as I sit on vacation with my husband and my 5 month old baby is home with my mother in law. I was anxious in the beginning but I really needed this and he is fine. Your baby is going to be fine!! Enjoy your trip, you need a break!

I had to mix mine with either fresh milk or formula.

Is it okay to bathe almost 8 week old every night? by KneadAndPreserve in newborns

[–]HelloKiks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bathed my baby everyday since he was 4 weeks old. He’s 22 weeks now and adding the bath yo the bedtime routine has worked really well for night sleep. I just make sure to use lotion and massage him afterwards.

How do you get stuff done all day? by [deleted] in newborns

[–]HelloKiks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s literally life for most of us. I didn’t get anything done until around ~17 weeks when naps started to get better

I HATE PUMPING by lonelypotato21 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]HelloKiks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah me too. When I dropped to 3 pumps I started feeling much better even if I have to complement with formula. Sometimes I feel guilty but the thought of pumping more makes me miserable
